I had sex and the condom broke, and i was even ovulating according to my period calendar. The next day I ran to cvs which was about 16 hours later!! I took the pill about two weeks ago and my period is about a week late, I had spotting at the time I was supposed to have my period and a little bit of cramping. But my period is still not here took a million pregnancy tests all negative. Im waiting patiently the pill did its job and now it's just prolonged. Everyone don't stress you're period will come !!

For all the ladies out there, worried and scared I'm here to tell you it is okay.
Let me share my story, some time ago I had unprotected sex a day later I took the Plan and four days later I had my period. A day after it was finished, I had unprotected sex again and the day after I took Plan B. My period was late and I took 5 Pregnancy Tests that all read negative. I was losing my mind! Then, on the 16th day, my period came!!!! Whew! But after two more periods, my cycle is still off track because it's no longer 28 days, it's now 35!

But just have faith. It will come!

Hi
Here's my story.
I had unprotected sex on 16 sep. My period had ended on 11 sep so 16th was my last day, just spotting. I popped the ec on 17th- around 13 hrs later. On 21 sep i got the withdrawal bleed- a lighter version of a normal period, but i had to wear pads. I bled for about 3-4 days. I have a 28-31 day cycle so ideally my Oct period if all had been fine would be 11 oct. I researched so much and was confused whether my new cycle date would be 11th or 21st(first day of withdrawal bleed). Every site and many ladies out there had conflicting experiences.
Anyway, from the 25th sep to around 8th oct i felt fine except for my nipples being really sore. But from 8th oct to 14th oct i had weird cramping, felt like my uterus was hanging, harder boobs, bad gas almost as if a baby was kicking inside my tummy.
Today is Oct 15 and my period is here full blown.
Ec causes havoc in your system. My period is pretty regular. I know exactly when I'm ovulating and though i knew i wasn't ovulating on 16 sep when i had sex, i still took the pill cuz i have a six year old already and don't want anymore kids. I'm 37 years old and very fertile so i wanted to be safe than sorry when i popped the ec.
I've popped the ec twice before and both times i did not experience the withdrawal bleed. My theory is if you're ovulating and u take the ec u don't usually get withdrawal bleeding. I could be wrong. If u take it soon after your period, u may bleed.
Ec does work and if you get a negative preg test after about 4 weeks of taking it, most likely you're not preggo unless in between you've had more accidents. Hope this helps someone

Hi,
i'm 19 and this is the second time i've taken ec within the last 6 or so months, i had unprotected sex on the last day of my period (3rd of september), short after taking it i got another small period, which i expected to happen, but it is now nearly the start or november and i am moody, have tender breasts, weird cramps and a sharp pain on my left side. I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow but i would like to know if anyone here has experienced sharp pains or if thats just me? i'm a very anxious person so anything to put my mind at ease would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had the same issue. I had sex a day right after my period ended in June 2017 and took emergency contraception not even 1 hour after having sex since I decided to let my partner 'relieve himself' in me. I had the withdrawal period 1 week after taking EC and thought that was my period, it wasn't. My cycle is a range of 25 days and I was freaking out for over 3 weeks not knowing what was going on having severe pains in my stomach and fearing being pregnant. Well it's now the 22nd of July 2017 and safe to say I have cramps and my PERIOD! I ran into my bf's arms and jumped for joy. So just beware that EC or Plan B pretty much screws up your cycle, however don't freak out like I did. Rest assured you will get on your period, you're welcome.

Here, s some piece of experience to bust your stress, ladies! Plan b pill does really change timings of one, s cycle however regular periods might have been before... If the tests are repeatedly negative, just keep calm because there is no rarest chances of pregnancy as the hcg hormone keeps increasing every day in a pregnant lady and negative results in a span of weeks after missed periods leads to no chance of it! The high imbalance of hormones caused by plan b definitely demands time by your body to regain the normal functioning and perhaps thinking day n night of it and wracking minds with stress and fear entails your periods to get delayed further! Just keep calm and keep going! learn from negative experiences and use protections unless its favourable to go without it!
