I have had the same feeling for about 3 weeks and I went to the er and they. Gave me a cat scan on my head. It turns out that it was chronic sinus infection they perscrived me some antibiotics. Haven't. Picked the pills up so still got to find out if they work, but still I've been diagnosed with sinus infection.

Maybe you need to check with a TMJ specialists not a dentists or oral surgeon but a TMJ specalists tmj can give you all sorts of problems and theres not one certain symptom thats why its so hard to diagnose not many doctors or even neologists understands it or can even identify it so if u still cant shake the feeling i recommend it cause most misdiagnose it with ear infection and sinus. i felt lightheaded and weird spacey and it was like i couldnt think right and sometimes migraines and all kind of crazy things

Hello, i've been feeling just like this for the past few days, it has been the worst feeling ever. I went to the doctor my blood pressure and everything seemed fine so he prescribed for me some chewable ferrum iron pills and i started on them (one a day) and i started taking 'Multibionta' which is a vitamin supplement with probiotics, i must say im starting to feel better than i did and im eating a lot more vegetables that contain iron and healthy foods in general. i just felt like sharing my experience and what im taking so that it will hopefully help others. i hope it works for you guys too. especially for women who have heavy menstrual flow and didnt really take iron or vitamins like myself. and last but not least, keep praying.

Hello all, I actually have similar symptoms to these, been going on for almost 2 weeks, I havent ruled out an inner ear virus just yet until i go to the doctor for tests today. Also, for anybody that has the symptoms, do you also have 24/7 dilated eyes? My eyes will not stop wanting to be dilated, I watched in the bathroom mirror the other day as my eyes would normalize due to the light then force them back to be dilated. I dont get too dizzy or off balance, I mainly just have super spacey head feel and then ontop of that the dilated eyes. Could this very well be just an inner ear virus that has to go away? Im also looking into it being a spinal issue (hoping its not) as I am very scared of surgery lol. But over the past few days its tolerable in the daytime and towards night when I go to lay down its scary, I cant close my eyes without feeling nonreal? I guess I could put it. Sometimes I get panic attacks and just take everything I have to breathe (note: I dont have problems breathing, its just the attack that makes breathing seem weird or foreign to me) Like I said though, dilated eyes, and spacey surreal head feel. Could this be just an inner ear virus?

hey guys. its been over 3 years since i started this thread, i want to give you some info that could perhaps give you some comfort. over the past 3 years, i had a few more tests done, all negative. it seems that every test DRs can think of keep coming back negative. i started to ask myself if the problem was "in my head". turns out the answer was yes. anxiety and hypochondria had got the best of me and was controlling my life. i got my first "ah ha!" moment when i start doing little experiments on myself, no no not like that :), mental ones. here is how my typical snowball effect would start:

i would feel normal, then i'd hear something on the news (west nile virus is going around here big time, and mosquitoes love biting me).... then i get bit. my mind jumps into overdrive trying to find out if i have the symptoms, and will usually find a way of linking a few unrelated symptoms into one (think of the "5 ways to Kevin Bacon" thing). now the anxiety kicks in, causing stress which leads to these dizzy headaches and panic attacks.

or here's another example: stress at work, stress at home, stress on the drive home, stress stress stress.... stress does some weird things to you. once a stress related symptom comes into view, my hypochondria would kick in... thinking i was getting sick or something worse. then anxiety followed by more stress. then my headaches, then frustration that i'm getting my headaches again. then anger that i dont know what's causing these headaches.

its a snowball guys, there is nothing wrong with you. its in your head. you have to learn how to stop it and convince your mind that you're ok before it escalates. the larger you allow the snowball to get, the harder and longer it is to get over it.

with this in mind, i have pretty much cured my panic attacks. i haven't gotten one in over 2 years. but i must admit, i still get these headaches from time to time, its not easy.

every time i feel one coming on, i remind myself that i've had a bazillion tests done, all negative. i've seen a bazillion doctors, they all say there's nothing wrong. i remind myself of recent (very recent, like that day recent) events that could of caused stress, and if i the way i acted compounded that stress which could of led to me feeling this way.

Go grab your headphones just before you goto bed, and listen to this youtube video. its a 15 min of audio by WhipserCrystal. All she does is help you calm down by whispering. Sounds dumb huh? Give it 15 mins and try it, what do you have to lose?

Thank you. I've had the exact same symptoms you describe on your 1/12/09 post for the past month and I have been under a lot of stress. I think I'm going to just relax and hope that it is just anxiety. I did try the whisper video and it was good.

I am only 18 but i also have some of these symptoms. I have the lightheadness with almost a drugged feeling, or like you have been awake for wayyy too long and are just trying not to fall asleep. Sometimes when i wake up in the morning my eyes hurt so bad, i have to use eye drops for them not to hurt as much. I am extremely sensetive to light, it hurts my eyes and my head and everything. The other day i had supper and afterwords i felt sick almost, had to make myself throw up a little bit to relieve what felt like a pressure on my stomach. Randomly sometimes i will get pains in places, usually my knees or where my leg attaches to my torso sort of area. I also get it underneath my left rib, but this one could be totally unrelated.

I am starting to get headaches more and more often as well, my chiropracter said it was like a migrane when i described it to him. when i drive especially or when there is somethign playing (music movie etc) and that often contributes. I dont really have an appetite much either. I dont know whats wrong. I have a Dr. appointment next month but until then does anyone have any advice on what to do. I hate feeling like this.

Hello everyone. I am 30 yr  old female and about a year ago I all of a sudden was light headed, heart racing, felt like I was going to be sick, extreme headache, and the feeling of not being able to breathe. I went to the Er and they treated me for dehydration done 2 EKG's that came back good, and diagnosed me with vertigo and a problem with the inner year. I then seen my regular doctor and had a 24 hour urine test and some blood work that all came back fine. I have had issues with anxiety for years and have had panic attacks for about 15 years so they sent me to a Psychiatrist who started treating me for bipolar disorder and prescribed me Ativan 4X a day and gabapentin 3 times a day. The gabapentin made the problem seem worse. The ativan helped with the headache and the feeling that my heart was racing. During all this time they noticed my blood pressure was low and resting heart rate was high. I ended up moving and not having a Doctor and it seemed to be better over the last few months, but for the last week it has been back. And now the pain in my head and heart racing seems to be worse at night. And as many of you have said when I wake up in the mornings I feel fine, after being up for an hour or two it seems worse. And last night the pressure in my head was awful and my jaw on the right side was killing me. It has just started to get cold here so I am wondering if the cold makes the symptoms worse. I just started seeing a new doctor and she seems to think that putting me back on a benzo is bad and honestly she seems like she could care less and hasn't got the time to listen to my explanation of how I feel. This is very annoying and just wish there was some answers.

Do you have a white coating on your tongue in the morning before you brush that returns during the day after eating?  Check out Candida infection.  Basically a yeast overgrowth in your body that can give you all of these symptoms.  If thats the case you will need to change your diet but really don't need anything else.  Good luck.

I have controlles hbp(120/80), but recently I have been getting lightheadedness and headaches as well. My doctor also, ordered and MRI on my sinuses and my neck. He also, suggested that I have my ears and eyes checked. I'm glad to know that he's not crazy, because I said to myself how does all this have to do with my dizziness? By the way, how were you able to have an MRI? I've tried 2 times and I'm terrified! Pleaes give me some advice. Thanks!!
