lonely and looking for some advice on looking for someone who will like me for who i am

I think the best thing to do is try to change your perspective on being lonely vs. being alone. Fill your alone time with things that are really 'you' things to do and try consciously appreciate silence and isolation. Sounds like terrible tacky advice but I'm an expert on this subject, do trust me. I was agoraphobic for 6 years so I didn't get out much! 

Find hobbies, try to sit and really enjoy music, read a lot and expand your knowlede. All of that is not only good for you but will make conversation with you more interesting as you will have more personal things to talk about.
