I have had sex with at least 30 different partners over the course of many many years and I have never encountered this problem.
I believe I have slightly torn my frenulum (I had no idea what it was called until this happened.)
The skin connecting my foreskin to the head of my penis has a obvious very small cut on the right side of it. It is very painful, but only if I pull my foreskin back.
After searching for hours on the internet for more information, I am very anxious that this means I am:
A: Never going to be able to have sex without worrying about tearing it.
B: Going to need an adult circumsicion to have normal sex again.
If anyone could give me any information about this I would greatly appreciate it. I don't think that I have a short frenulum as I have never had trouble with this in the past and have been having sex regularly since I was 16 years old. I realize I should go to a urologist, but I am terrified to hear the worst and was hoping someone could give me a little more information before I do that.

supposedly when it rips it will heal itself after a week or two. but when it heals it heals with scar tissue..which isnt as strechable as the original. This means it will eventually rip again (i've read cases that it hasnt ripped for years down the line). Supposedly there is a surgery (frenuoloplasty) available that isnt very painful which removes the frenulum all together.
I am 20 and my frenulum just ripped! (I didn't know what it was called either) About a week ago, I tore it a little, and saw that I had a little space there. It hurt, but the pain went away and everything went back to normal. Last night, however, there was a big rip, a lot of pain, and blood. The gap is now quite wide, and there is pain in urinating, pulling the foreskin back, and when I get an erection. I'm afraid that the damage is unreparable. I think that if I just let it heal again, it will rip again.
Do I need circumcision? That in itself is scary, not so much because of the pain as much as the complete change of my personal image.
I think I'm going to go see a doctor sometime this weekend, but can someone tell me something about it?

I have a piercing right under my frenulum and it has streched quite a bit after i got it done. I masturbate frequently and it still hasn't torn. I am worried that it will though cause it has stretched from a 16gauge to about a 6gauge.
I ripped mind when as a young teen I decided to see what it would be like to make use of the vaccum cleaner as a suction tool, just as it tore mum arrived home and I wrapped my penis in a cloth and pulled up my pants and pretended nothing had happened. Lator on checking I was stunned at the ammount of blood. I was worried at the time about ill effects, but once it healed I found it made little difference to sex or masturbation. Not having it intact means my foreskin can be pulled back a little more without the stretch. In short, don't worry about it.
Ouch! This one hurts alright. It just happened to me a few hours ago for the second time. The first time it healed in about a week or so. Just hold off with the sex for a while and it will be fine!
Hi im 24, iv got 3 kids and this has just happened to me for the first time last night! Ouch! I was having sex then i heard a pop noise, i jumped up out of bed in pain, i ran to the bathroom and noticed my penis was bleeding badly, i jumped into the shower to was the blood away, the bleeding did eventually stop. I am now left with a very tender penis, i can see the frenulum has split all the way down from top to the bottom, advice please guys do i need to see the doctor, or just leave it to heal by nature? Right after I got married and began having sex often, mine tore. The first time I just let it heal and it tore again because it was too short. The second time I wrapped it so the ends didn't heal back together and it was a little longer but it tore a few more times. each time I made sure the ends didn't heal back together and eventually it was no longer a problem. Now I have no perceivable frenulum and my foreskin rolls easily all the way back so the tip is nearly at the bottom of the shaft.

I tore my frenulum too and everything I read says to keep it clean and apply neosporin and it should heal. However everytime I try to pull the skin over the head to clean it, I feel a sharp pain along my frenulum. Any suggestions?
hey my name is ewan and it happened to me last night and now it really hurt i dont know if i should see a doctor or just leave it but it didn't tear all the way and now there is this space, can i ask for a advice off a fellow person with experience ?
I have had exactly the same problem as you have- when i was twelve it happened (the whole frenulum ripped). It was also extremely painful with blood everywhere, but after many baths it healed and now I can pull the foreskin all the way back with no pain whatsoever. This was possible after a few short weeks. I don't know if it will be fine with sex though, I'm not old enough yet. I haven't seen a urologist. I think you'll be absolutely fine, just wait patiently.
I saw this problem on the programme embarrising bodies, the guy was having trouble with urine leaking and couldnt get a fully erected penis this was after the tear and he had never had any problems before this, anyway he had minor surgery that fixed the problem.

I tore my frenulum about a month and a half ago whole having sex with my gf , there was only one spot of blood from where it had a small tear , I let it heal for 1 week it felt amazing to have it back in normal working order so I thought id give it another shot, 5 or so mins later I felt a sharp pain again ( I had tore it again ) then I researched some stuff online I went and bought some ointment for it that the doctor gave me , I applied twice daily for a week and a half , I tried oral sex but it mange to rip it again but no blood the whole frenulum went purple and the pain was unbearable ..
Now I started to apply cream and I noticed that my foreskin is red and swelled up then knob is all red, I found if you go for a shower just befor you hop out turn the hot completely off and soak it in freezing cold water it reduces the swelling so much and reduces the irration , I am currently still healing 1 week and 3 days if it doesn't heal in 4 days should I go see the doctor again ?
I am going to Mexico for spring break march 2014 will I be ready ?????
