loss of balance

to whom it may concern, about two years ago i started noticing problems with my sense of balance. i went to an ear doctor to see if i had an inner malady. he ascertained that my imbalance was not to do with an inner ear problem and he ordered an mri scan of my brain. the scan showed that a part of the brain was not getting proper blood supply due to atrophied blood vessels. the imbalance has persisted at about the same level since that time. at times. other motor skills, such as using the hands to accomplish little things like clasping a necklace is very challenging. so i'm wondering if i had a stroke of some sort.
