Hello. I'm 27 year old female and I would like to find out more about possible causes of my problems. About four days ago I have started to suffer from strange pain located in my lower abdominal area that I have never felt before.
At first, it started as mild pain located only on my left side but these last days the pain only grew stronger and stronger and now, beside strong and sharp pain, I'm having high temperature and I sweat a lot. What could cause me this pain?
Please tell me, should I be worried about all this and is medical intervention necessary.

Hello. I have just read your post and I really can't understand why you didn’t contact your GP still. Although this doesn’t have to be some alarming situation- still, there are several conditions with these symptoms that could end up even fatally.
Pain located in lower abdominal area could be caused by many things and I will just name you some of those. First, it could inflammation of appendix called appendicitis that requires urgent surgical intervention. He pain could be also caused by inguinal hernia and this condition is also surgically treated. Because you are female, you must always think on your ovaries as possible cause.
Whatever is the cause- contacting your GP should definitely be your next step!
