This morning I woke up and went to the washroom, I felt completely fine except I had the urge to go '#2' but I couldn't. So I just went back up to my room. I had only sat on my bed for a few minutes before I got the worst lower abdominal pain I've ever gotten. It was on my right hand side and I figured it could be something bad so I went downstairs to tell my mom. As soon as I got to her I felt really light headed and I could see my vision blacking out as I was talking to her explaining it almost in tears because of the pain when I suddenly woke up on the ground scrambling to get to my feet not knowing what had just happened and it honestly felt like I was dreaming. My brother had seen me faint and said that once I hit the ground my body started shaking uncontrollably for a few seconds before I came to. Once I was awake and realized what happened I still couldn't recall when it happened, or how long I was out. I slowly walked over to the couch and as soon as I sat down I got this nauseous feeling and quickly got my brother to help me get to the bathroom as I didn't feel it was safe for me to walk on my own because I felt light headed. I didn't throw up I just sat in there with my knees up and my back to the wall and the pain in my abdomen was increasing and it felt like it was surging through the small area every few seconds. The pain went away after about 2 hours so I didn't feel the need to go to the hospital. I still don't know what it is, but I'd like to find out. I've had lower abdominal pain before, but never like this and I have never just blacked out.
Same here. I get an episode every year or so. Started when I was 16 (am 29 now). Intense pain on the lower right side of my abdomen, starting slowly and increasing till its gets unbearable, vomiting, feeling light headed to the point of fainting. The only thing that helped me to prevent it is cutting cow milk out of my diet. However it still occurs from time to time.. What generally helps me during an episode is taking an Iboprufen (painkiller) and try to fall asleep.
No diagnosis yet, seems like you just have to live with it.. Good luck.
This has happened to me twice. Really, really scary. Doctors have told me it is gas. The nausea, puking, and fainting can be caused simply by PAIN!! I don't think this amount of gas pain is normal, but also maybe the passing out is just how my body responds to bad gas pain. Doctors don't know everything, I guess. One doctor recommended colonoscopy, but that's too expensive for me, and this has only happened twice-- once when I was 18, and once when I was 36.
have they found out what caused this? Has it continued to happen to you? Please let me know I have a 6 year old grandson who is experiencing these same symptoms.
Hi guys, I have dysautonomia (a condition that is pretty much a blanket term for multiple autoimmune problems) and this happens to me multiple times a year for about 10 years now. THE intense pain as well as having to go to the bathroom and the fainting is caused by the vagel nerve. Ts called a Vaso vagel response and while there's nothing specific you can do to stop it excercising is a good way to help prevent it
