I have had similar burning pain on the lower left side. I have had
two previous bouts of ischemic colitis (very painful). I am a 39 yr old female. I have had 2 CT scans this year and 2 colonoscopys which show swelling of the descending colon. I find the pain is worse when I am not careful with my diet. When I get these flare ups, I try to go on a bland diet or bowel rest. I have also had a c-section and a history ovarian cysts and now have adhesions. My doctor explained that it could be a combination of the inflammation of the colon and the adhesions on the uterus that can cause the adominal discomfort. You should not hesitate to check with a doctor for an ultrasound or scan if you are experiencing pain.

Hi, i was really enjoying reading about other peoples symptoms (like mine) but after reading it I would however like to see some kind of responses that were made to them. Where do I see the actual responses??

Very interesting reading this thread. I too am having these sensations in my lower right abdomen. This has been going on for about a year now and to begin with the burning sensation (not painful as such) just irritating and worrying was sometimes so hot i went to bed with an ice pack on the area to help me feel better. I can only describe it as how it would probably feel to be cooked in a microwave, at times i just wanted to pull my skin off!
So after a trip to the Dr, various ultrasounds, scans, colonoscopy, MRI scan, numerous blood and urine tests i still have no diagnosis. My doctor has suggested visiting a neurologist, which i have yet to do, but kind of fed up with being tested and prodded.
This pain starts up and is generally worse when i use the computer (we have wireless access) and it has been on my mind that this maybe the problem. (i also experience this sensation when passing cell phone masts etc on the highway) Another reason could be the way i sit at the computer and could be a nerve problem. Incidentally my husband and my doctor thinks that my computer use theory is ridiculous. In general when i am not at home and am busy i do not experience the pain!!
i will post a diagnosis if i ever get one but i am not holding my breath!!

do any of you smoke weed or ingest any other toxin daily such as paint fumes or chemical fumes? that could be the cause of the heat. I know for me, the heat would show up after I smoked weed, and then one day it just turned numb so I feel like there is some damage to my kidneys or something because the heat is in my lower left abdominal area. I have since quit smoking weed cold turkey, but if I eat something with a high level of toxins such as pork or processed foods, the heat returns. I have also read that it might be a good idea to lower your protein intake, but don't take my word for it until you have spoken to a holistic doctor or nutritionist. Medical doctors are not intended to prevent any disease, they will only treat it. So do not trust them at all when they tell you they can't find anything, and then you have to go in for an expensive dialysis or kidney transplant or something... GO SEE A DIETITIAN OR HOLISTIC OR NATURAL DOCTOR. don't trust the drug dealers with medical licenses, they will only lie to you

Your theory is not ridiculous, your husband and doctor are wrong, you have a sensitivity to EMF (electro magnetic fields). Flourescent light, dimmer switches, cellphones, computer monitors, televisions, many sources emit what is known as "dirty energy" and this has a direct affect on humans and illness. There are EMF pendants you can wear that will change the polarity around you and help redirect the dirty energy away from you....I do not recommend any particular one, but you will find that wearing one will remove alot of the conditions around you.
Regarding the condition everybody is experiencing, it can be varied for each individual, a suggestion would be to try a round of colloidal silver treatment which will kill off harmful pathogens in the system. Only take recommended dosages. Ignore the youtube video about the m***n who turned blue from colloidal silver, he manufactured his own and massively overdosed on it, he caused his own condition and then blames the essential mineral. Colloidal Silver is a powerful mineral which aids the body in a very positive manner reversing many conditions within. Used properly you will see the benefits of it.
Also a consideration if there are parasites in your system is to use Black Walnut. Western medicine does not properly detect parasites, they do not know how to. Holisitic practitioners are much better at it, utilizing muscle testing. Parasites can hide in your system at the cellular level. Using Black Walnut will kill parasitic infections. It is recommended to do your treatment 5 days on 3 days off, this allows any eggs to hatch and then you kill them off with the second round of treatment, in all do 3 rounds of treatment. You will start to see results within days. If there is parasitic infection you may feel queasy, as parasites are opportunistic and will fight back, this is referred to as die-off, the parasites are losing the battle, keep going and the condition will pass.
As mentioned, each individual is unique and none of these suggestions may work for you particular condition....you are just being offered an inexpensive, holistic suggestion for treatment.

I have been having a left lower abdominal burning for 2 years now. It's been on and off, alcohol, caffeine, spicy foods and raw vegetables seem to trigger that. It is also accompanied by excessive gas. I am an RN in the hospital, we use a simple test to see if the problem is related to a stomach, when you have these symptoms, try to drink two-three tablespoons of extra strength maalox with lidocaine, see if symptoms disappear within 20 minutes, that would mean that it is stomach related. If this is the case, start taking vitamin C and L-carnitine with meals, it helped me. Would love to hear from those who found this helpful.

I've only seen one person mention the possibility of an ulcer. These symptoms all match an ulcer, but I wonder if you can get them in that location. Im not finding any information. Maybe an ulcer of the intestine if its in that area?
Somebody said that he would have more pains when he smoked weed and ate certain foods, that almost definately sounds like an ulcer since smoking and certain foods irritate ulcers. I'm pretty sure my symptoms are the same as everybodys. Pain in the lower left side, near the hip and towards the middle of the stomach sometimes, not quite in the groin, but not quite in the belly, kind of in between. Comes and goes alot. Im really thinking its an ulcer, its just the location that I wonder about. If anybody knows wether ulcers can occur in this location, please let us know. That may be what it is. My pain feels like a stabbing pain sometimes, but more commonly feels like a burning sensation.

Me too....
I am a year and a half in with this, first I had hot sweats, I am 46 and thought this was natural, that went on day and night for months then it suddenly stopped...then I got a weird tickle as if there was long hair flowing round inside me, this went on for about 3 months maybe more, I can’t really remember when it started.
I took an Olive leaf capsule every morning....Do any of you take them?
March 09 it became a niggling pain, not too bad but enough to get me to the doctor. He booked a hospital visit for me but before the appointment I woke up one night and passed out...about 10 times, I made it through the rest of the night and sat up in bed in the morning and passed out again. This happened a few more times and I had called the doctor who told me to go straight to the hospital, women’s ward and that they were waiting for me. I underwent a day of tests and was told I was fine, I did not pass out again from the second I got into the hospital. In the night I had an unfortunate episode as I fell asleep and dreamt a spider was on my TV in front of me, I jumped and landed six feet out in the middle of the room, the nurse thought I had tripped...I should have just agreed...but stupidly told her I had a dream about a spider...with the hour I was wheeled away through the corridors at about 1am and I ended up in the heart ward, when I asked how long I would be there I was told that I was hallucinating spiders and would have to stay ...indefinitely, the next morning I was told that they were fitting a pacemaker later that day...an hour later I was told that it was not me that was getting the pacemaker!
I had continual tests as well as CT Scans, lungs, multiple blood test, kidney, thyroid, etc...still no-one had an idea, I signed myself out. A week later I felt a bit better and took my morning Olive leaf capsule again and by lunch time passed out again. This continued with olive bread, Olive oil in fact I thought that this was the answer, if I have anything that has even touched olive oil my heart goes mad and I black out, on one occasion I knew I was about to go and sat cross legged on the floor beside my Dobermann Dog, when I came round I was still sat upright...with him looking at me in a concerned way.
I have now stopped the blackouts with careful diet but the pain in my lower left side is now so bad I spend most of the time lying down, it does not hurt when I am lying on my back. I have no lumps or swelling. I am booked in at a new doctors on Friday...I have moved so had to change doctor...fingers crossed they can help as I am getting very tired. I will update if I ever find out more.

Hi there, can you tell me more about the olive leaf capsule? i am not sure if I know what that is and if it helps or not. Can you let me know?

Hi,
the Olive leaf caps help with many things...I took them to avoid colds and did..I did not have one cold all last year...but I think they may have resulted in my possible allergy to Olives. They were so precious to the Romans that the growers were exempt from going to war.
The follow up to the post above was the new doctor said he had no idea and suggested Paracetamol!
BUT...
I may have a suggestion to you all...I have not tried this yet so it’s just what I am about to do...check my hormone levels...many of us are a similar age, I have in the last year or so changed from the pill to an implant and suspect possible over production of Oestrogen (I hope I have spelt that right) the pain is possibly in the ovary I will also check for other ovary problems too. Does this make sense to anyone else? I have also been told that this could result in the blackouts & sick feeling too.
Fingers crossed...I will update you soon, though I am guessing it will take a while to arrange tests.

hiya people!!!
I've had this heat come in lower left abdo for a few weeks now......not painful, just weird sensation, no itching though.......feels like a hot pack has been randomly put inside there for a little while, on and off, up to approx 7 times a day!! I thought I was being a weirdo......had to look online of course :)
I'm 28, I already take prebiotics for a sluggish bowel, have had chronic constipation for years, but as suffer with gynae issues i'm sure it'll be blamed on that!
Noted - a medication i've just stopped says causes yeast infections - have 1 in navel currently.....I know a product is on sale in pharmacys here (London) for excess candida, goona try it, i'll post any results of that but please do keep your progress on here!
At least i'm not the only 1 with this strange symptom..... :)

I'm a 43 male. I've had this problem for about a year now. Periodically and always in the same lower left abdomenal spot. Alcohol and stress make it much worse. I wonder if there has been some changes in the products we usally eat/drink since all of this seems to have started in the last year or two. My doctor thinks it is IBS. I've started on some meds for that and we'll see how it goes.

Been on the IBS medicine for a few weeks now. The pain only occurs now under periods of super-high stress.
