I just had a CT scan, my symptoms sound just like yours. My gyn thought it might be my appendix too because there were no ovarian cysts. The CT showed some thickening in the right intestine and now I need a colonoscopy. But the burning and annoying feeling seems lower than they are telling me the problem is. Guess it must radiate cause the CT doesn't show anything else. Definatley see a doctor, you never know.

It could probably cause by prolonged sitting using your computer or watching TV in a long period of time. Specially, when you gain a lot of weight, which tends to blocked the flow of blood through your veins, arteries and capillary on your hips, thighs and buttocks which then creates an overheat below the abdomen. Not to mention doing same rountine for years.

Just turned 31 in Nov (it's dec 30th), got a VERY strange feeling in lower left abdomin on Christmas eve, was in the ER until 4am on Christmas day. Had CT scan and as per doctor no obstructions or anything. Side note, I had some trama to the intestines a few years back, so I'm always freaked out that something could go wrong and lead to a colostomy bag. Anyway, doc prescribed 15ml loctulose twice a day for 7 days. Has helped with constipation, but still have the warm sensation in the lower left side of my tummy, right where I feel my hip bone. I get the sweats from time to time, and it keeps me up at night tossing and turning. I get up and realize I'm laying in a puddle of sweat. I do smoke week pretty regularly, but I've been smoking since I was 15. I probably don't drink enough water, but I do try. Have read so many of these type of threads that don't really end up with a fixed answer. Now I'm reading that all this stress could lead to ulcers, or maybe the issue is ulcers? Idk what to think anymore. I hope everyone on this thread finds answers soon. If you do, PLEASE, come back and post what you found out. Even if you think it wouldnot apply to anyone but yourself. You never know. The tru is out there.
Good luck everyon

Hi - I am a healthy 66 year old woman and have experienced exactly the same as you for only 2 weeks now. Like you it's just a burning sensation and not painful and only on the left side. I went to my GP and he is at a loss as to what it is! He said if it continues to go back to him. Have you had any joy with this condition as to what caused it and the treatment (if any). I see your post was over a year ago. I would be most grateful for any advice. Thanks

1-5-15. 38 male. i have been getting a warm sensation on the lower left side as well. no pain. It comes and goes, but only lasts a few seconds. Almost like I had a hot drink and the liquid is going straight to my stomach. The only new thing is that I quit smoking a couple months ago. My diet has been the same. Not to say I have a balanced diet, but it hasn't changed. I do drink quite a bit, but again nothong new for me. Perhaps the drinking is just catching up with my age.

30, male. Diagnosed with crohn not even a yr ago, on remission ever since, but got some problems due to remission, like illeus, and this week i thought i have intestinal obstructions again, pain in belly nausea and so on couldnt eat, felt like full to max., went to er for rontgen, doc. Said i am just extremely constipated, sent me home and said take the natural laxatives, which take 8 hrs to work, prescription free. Take it now for 3rd day and now woke up with a hot sensation in my lower left colon, first thought my intestine ruptured and sh**s flowing in my belly, really weird feeling, but then the belly would turn hard plus pain, so at the end got diarhea finally from the laxatives, guess its just stool passing through the colon. Also felt like fever inside my intestine, maybe the body raises temperature due to very active belly movement to fight against bad bacteries forming up, similar to flu fighting mechanism

I am having the same type of pain and tightening in my lower left abdomen. I had tried some chinese herbal combination and helped me tremendously but then I suffered from depression and stopped taking it from fear of interaction with the anti-depressant. I was tolds that part of the brain and the digestive system share the same nervous center in the brain. That is one of the reasons that when your body is under "flight and fight" condition or there is too much worry and or anxiety you get that tightening or pain in the abdominal area. I have noticed that the deep breathing and exhaling technique that is used to relieve anxiety eases this condition. You might want to try it.
