Hey, I just turned 19 yesterday and i'm having the same symptoms. Although My entire left leg goes numb and has a burning feeling as does my left arm and the left side of my neck. It's like my entire left side is just burning.. But it all started with my abdomen. I have had a severe kidney infection before but this burning feeling went from not painful to super painful. Now i'm having a stabbing uncomfortable pain in my left side lower abdomen.

Hi i am female and 26, for the past (at least) year i have an on and off plum-sized stabbing pain/awkwardness (which doctors reply lets sort one thing at a time out or take painkillers if you have pain) every now and again just below my belly button to the left ( like diagonally), recently (at least) for about 6months i have had constipation which has gotten worse, i cannot go without really pushing now and its because of this i have bleeding sometimes and piles sometimes, the nurse at my GPs has told me to take lactulose which i have now and again and all it does is give me cramps make me feel sick and have to listen to very strange noises from my belly. i also every time i am not on my period suffer with thrush which has been happening for a few months too and when i dont have thrush i have a UTI. so currently i have thrush constipation and now have started to get a burning sensation all along the lower part of my belly below my belly button like the shape of a smile / rounded, i am also always bloated, bread and even a little yoghurt which i often have for my dinner fills me up and bloats me which people think is purposely to keep me slim when they dontknow my problems. lastnight i started to get burning in my cheeks and ears and my ears were bright red. Also the pain/awkardness i get and now and again and have had for a while now on my left  is on my lower right sometimes, but mostly my left and off and on. ive looked up everything from perforated bowels ibs pid gallstones etc but most things are supposed to have severe pain which i dont really get but i also never really get symptoms to most things like i was home from a hol from egypt with diarrohea thought it would go, had a smear couple of weeks after and cells removed for cin3 which must of disturbed the infection i had in my water and my body as i had a severe temperature 2days after was fine but my body was convulsing went to hospital and had to stay there a week on constant strong drips as i had ecoli infection from i dontknow where, and often dont have signs when i have UTIs. i think i now have a very week immune system and catch things easily and plan on ringing my gp monday to see wether the constipation and belly pain or an overall infection is linked, hopefully i will get an insight and not shrugged off.

I am a health 43 year old women. On and off over the last 4 months or so I have been experiencing a burning sensation (not painful) in my lower left abdomen. The sensation may last for a few minutes or for the majority of the day. It always occurs in the same specific place, about 15cm down from navel and 5 cm to the left.
I have no other symptom. It is not tender.
Should I consult my GP?

I also am having this issue. I was thinking it was ovarian cyst. This could explain why some women get it on the left and some get it on the right. Mine use to be somewhat cyclical. I would notice it about halfway through my cycle which was why I suspected it was coming from my ovary. I feel the burning sensation just underneath my left hip bone which I think is approximately where my left ovary would be. It would come and go, but now I am pre menopausal and it seems to be hitting me more often. I think the reason the Dr.s don't find anything is because the cysts probably burst and then they don't see anything. has anyone had a sonagram while they were feeling the pain? I am wondering if a cyst will show up in a sonagram.

I am 47, female with exactly the same symptomes. I do not have a colon or rectum which was removed as a result of ulcerative colitis. So it cannot be a colon disorder.

I have had this pain for over 10 years with no luck on whats causing it.  I have had so many tests i dont even know what they are all called.  I jokingly tell friends more doctors touched my private parts then sexual partners.  My burning pain seems to be in some way related to my left testicle.  It is not hpv i have been tested for it and i have taken the meds for it anyway out of desperation.  I have taken a v pack for it maybe being other std's.  I was also told by many doctors its not a hernia.  I just can't stand this pain anymore.

That's very interesting, I just started getting this pain yesterday evening sitting at my desk at work. I got up at the end of my shift and there it began. I have been diagnosed as Vitamin D deficient early this year. So, maybe that is a link to this. I was just speaking to my wife that I need to get out from work and go have a walk in the sun because though I'm exposed to artificial light all day my body doesn't view it as such. To my body I'm living in darkness. Maybe we all share this deficiency of vitamin D. I will have my doctor check me out this upcoming week for any colon issues as you all have already done but I well also have my blood checked rechecked for vitamin D. I will let you all know how that goes.

I have also had an ovarian syst popped, it was horrific and I also felt a burning pain, but this was 2004. Lately this last three weeks I've been having a burning sensation inside my lower left abdomen. Have you gotten a diagnosis? I think we have identical symptoms and history.

I have this on the right side as well. 3-4 weeks now. Do have IBS / sensitive colon. I am going to try the detox route and stay away from glutin products for a week to see if it improves. Realy dont want to go through another colonoscopy.

Hi i have cut out carbs a lot having no bread or crisps and had little symptoms for a while, as soon as i started eating this stuff again i started to get cramping pains, bloated etc, my doctor thinks i have `a little` ibs `medium` apparantly. Anything from fruit to bread, pastry cakes etc makes me like this. it helps the lower belly aching/pain but i dontknow if it directly connected. Asw surely you shouldnt get this off a bit of food. continuosly confused :)
