i have a lump on the upper left groin area that hurts when i push to pass stool

The lump on the groin can be caused by many things. Many people think that this might be related to cancer, but in my opinion all these lumps are just caused by enlarged lymph nodes. If you have some sort of an infection in your body your lymph nodes will get enlarged and the lumps can be very uncomfortable. I think that you should see if you have some sort of problem near your groin, except this lump.
