hi i'm an 18 year old female and i have a huge problem. everytime i shave i get a lump in my pubic area. it's very painful it's had to walk with it. in spoke to my mother about it and she said that it can be because i don't lather enough and that can cause ingrown hairs. i am also sexually active but i always use a condom so i'm praying that it's not an std. somebody plzzzzz help me. can ingrown hairs form after a whole month of shaving????

I try not to shave because i get small lumps where i have an ingrowing hair which can be pretty painful. Unfortunately i have to use the expensive option of waxing so i dont get them.
If youre worried its a std then i would highly recommend you get checked. Dont feel stupid or silly because at the end of the day its not uncommon and the last thing you want is for it to be something 10x worse than that, that cant be treated.
