I have been having the same problem and can't seem to think why the Dr. have to take so long with what they are doing I did all the tests biopsy and everything were conclusive. I wake up tired, fatigue and sweaty each morning. They have decided I need to have surgery to remove the swollen lymph nodes.

Ive had the same swollen lymph node on the rt side back by my ear under the jaw line, i have constant pain, sore throat, ear pain often ringing, my ENT wants to remove it as well. Mine came last April followed by Bells Palsy, the Bells is mostly gone the gland stays swollen somedays more than others. Antibiotics did nothing, brain and spine MRI 's all good, tired and constant pressure in my neck.

Had the same problem, had thyroid cancer 6 years ago total removal of everything. Sept had raspy voice and had 5 enlarged lymph nodes. they removed 4 which were huge I was told. Dr thought it was lymphoma but supposidly came back negative. Actually what I was told was inconclusive. Still have night sweats, anxiety and just a feeling something is not right. Wish someone could just give some answers

i too am dealing with a large lymph node, left side behind the ear.  it is going on 2 years now.. several antibotics, CT scan and MRI.  they see what looks to be the lymph node and see that it is swollen, but no one can tell me why.  it never really goes away, just isn't as painful as other times.  finally i have been sent to an ENT who immediately said we need to do a biopsy.  we did some blood work first to check for some infectious diseases. one to include cat scratch fever as someone else mentioned.  unfortunately these test came back negative.  so we are now at the point of doing a biopsy.  it is a month an a half away, due to scheduling, but i was told it will be extremely painful, although a day surgery.  and I will be off work for 7 - 10 days with recovery.  they will send it in and see what comes of it.. they are concerned it could be a bacterial or fungal infection growing from the node.   a white pearl, - almost like a hard white head under that skin that never comes to a head, a cyst, - althought they are pretty sure it is the lymph node.. or Lymphoma.  i am wondering if any one has had any of these same issues.  i do feell like i have had a low grade fever off and on for months, i do not have night sweats, but in fact constantly cold, i have lost a fair amount of weight in the last few months without trying.    I am a bit concerned.   they have warned that there may be nerve damage from the surgery, and that it may be very uncomfortable till i am healed.. any feed back is much appreciated.

Sounds like Epstein-barr virus, I just went through the freezing sweating excessively and over heating with swollen lymph node. Had my lyph node taken out because it turned into lymphoma.

this is very odd but i had the same procedure due to "cat scratch fever" in 1998 while living in Pa, I'm wondering if you were in the same area? I've been doing quite a lot of research on this and would love to know if its environmentally related
