I have been bleeding for 2 months straight now. It's been a heavy period with very bright red blood that just wont quit. I'm 26, live in Missouri and because I am single with no children I do not qualify for any sort of medical assistance even though I am low-income. I went to a clinic here and spent all the money I had. They gave me a thyroid test, but it says my thyroid is fine. They want me to see a specialist but they all turn me down here because I have no insurance nor the cash money to pay them immediately. Unfortunately, I have a family history of blood clots and recently I've been have a lot of numbness in one leg off and on, because of this they do not want to give me regular birth control or hormones (due to the fact that they increase the chance of a blood clot). I can not afford an MRI or catscan to see if the numbness is nuerological or maybe a blood clot, so I'm at an impass. Any suggestions?

you should probably try going to the hospital, even the emergency room... many hospitals cant turn you away just because you dont have insurance! you need to make sure nothing too serious is going on there! best of luck to you! I hope everything is fine! :-)

Have you looked into Planned Parenthood? Their clinics work with people from all different income levels. I highly reccommend you try to get it resolved to the best of your capability. Until then.. make sure you are eating enough iron and drinking fluids, since you are constantly losing blood. Best of luck with everything!
