Anyone with these mysterious paper-cut like cuts.....get yourself tested for...mycoplasma genitalium
Its a new STD...very hard to detect and very hard to treat.
Testing has to be done at a specialized clinic such as a fertility clinic. Regular doctor swabs and STD clinics do not have the high end equipment that fertility clinics do.

Most doctors will tell you its nothing to worry about, they test you for a gazillion common STDs and many dont seem to even know this new one exists.

The paper cut syndrome to me seems to be the common symptom that goes untalked about. many people are thinking it is friction or something else.

see my post above and get tested. its a new STD. many doctors dont test for it. and many times even if they do it goes undetected. i had it and it feels exactly what you are describing. i get yearly checkups all the time and it went undetected for years until i went to a fertility centre and had high-end testing done.

I feel your pain. I've been dealing with this for over 5 years already. I recently decided to stop talking to OBG's and go to a dermatologist. I am SO GLAD that I did! They seem like they are actually going to get to the bottom of my problem. They took a sample of my skin- they basically took a hole punch to the area... ouch! - and sent it off to the lab to be analyzed. The lab results were unusual... chronic eczema. My dermatologist is going to talk to a pathologist and get more info. I will let you know what they come up with. But my advice to you would be to see a dermatologist. They are much more knowledgable about the skin in that area than are OBG's. If you dont have a yeast infection or some type of disease, they are pretty useless.

I had particularly rough sex for the first time last night, and got a small paper-cut-deep tear. I hope it will close over, thanks everyone, it's good to see all your comments. I nearly had a heart attack(not literally) when I saw it, I thought I was going to have to have stitches. If anyone reads this, I was wondering if the tears close over?

Also, it reaaaally hurts to poop, and when I poop it stretches the tear further, and I even bled a little bit today. :(

Will it close over?

I have the same thing. In my case it is herpes. I never get them in this area but this time I have. I also haven't had them since I was 13 and I'm 26 now. I get a flare up every menstrual now that I just had a baby. My hormones out of wack is what made it come back. I would definitely get checked. It may just be a tear that's trying to heal. But heaven forbid you spread it to someone. Please get checked.

I know it burns during urination...put some vasoline over the wound before you urinate. The water proof formula blocks the stinging ammonia in the urine from ever contacting your skin. I hope this helps. Also, on some of these replys you say you had "all the tests done". Please check for the exact tests with your doctor. Many tests like yeast, chlamydia, and other bacterial type infections cause "parallel to the libya type tears" on some people and are often not included in a set of "std testing"

wow I'm not alone. I am 20 years old and I've only 2 partners that I've had sex with, and each time it would get irritated by my partners shaft ( also the 2 partners I have been with have been tested for stds and all been negative, me as well) it doesn't hurt all that bad but it's hard to pee with out it not itching and burning and bleeding ( i also have been tested for a yeast infection and came up negative as well) but I defiantly thing it's just him stretching it out cause when me and him do have sex it hurts when he goes in, and I don't get that irritation until after sex... but if any one can come up with an organic way to heal this I would  be gladly to try it...

and I have never given birth to a child so first degree perineum tear is not it

I have had these symptoms, perineum tears, painful sex, itching episodes for some time. I was finally referred to a gynecologist who, after testing for and ruling out other causes, diagnosed Lichen Sclerosus, which is an autoimmune condition. The symptoms can be controlled by a specifically designed course of Dermovate cream applied direct. I also need to have yearly gyne checks to ensure that the LS isn't progressing. It affects about 1 in 1000 women, and in 4% of these cases it can progress into cancer. However, it is a slow growing cancer which can be effectively treated if caught early. So I am really glad to have been given a diagnosis, so that now I am being kept an eye on.  Hope this information is useful to some of you.

I have had the same issue. Mine is due to female dermatitis. It is like eczema. It is caused from being moist. This is how I have kept it from happening so often. I use an antibacterial soap in the shower and make sure I rinse really well. The pat dry when I get out of the shower. I the sit on the toilet and blow dry the outside of my vagina and butt crack. I use a steroid cream for eczema. Never use petroleum products because it holds in too much moisture and can hold in bacteria. Let yourself air out when ever possible, meaning... do not sleep with panties or PJ bottoms and no pan tied around your home. Wash also after sex so that bacteria doesn't grow. Just keep it dry, clean and only cream. Good luck everyone!!!

This is how you fix this horrid problem. If you have a tear or scratch or missing skin anywhere near your clit or on your vagina the first thing you need to get is baking soda. When you have a tear or scratch the skin will itch because of regrowth and moisture , I might even burn when you pee. Using a table spoon of baking soda in your bath helps alot and you will need loose pants, and neosporin ( with pain relief) it's says it on the box! Also do not wear tight under wear if you can avoid wearing underwear that is awesome it seems that the more air the vagina gets the better it heals and stays dry! So wearing LOOSE pants is the way to go meaning no jeans or shorts wearing cotton is the way to go. Taking two Tylenol a day is another thing you can do to manage pain. I hope this helps I know the pain is horrid and have been through this multiple times.
