I have been having the same issue, i have had the coil in for 4 years and 4 months ago my periods randomly started again and bleeding after sex sometimes alot! the periods are lighter than before but still last a full week and i get all the cramps, poor skin, bloating etc like before which i haven't noticed in years. I went to have the coil removed yesterday and they couldnt find it. So they have now referred me for a scan at the hospital to see if where it is or if its fallen out.
I did contact my GP at the time about the periods and i was told not to worry sometimes it happens, they were very unconcerned by it.

I have had a similar experience. When I was 17, I got diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis and received surgical treatment for it. I have tried the Nexplanon, which caused non-stop spotting/breakthrough bleeding (I was told taking a small dose of estradiol might assist in stopping it, but it did not work), and eventually got the Mirena IUD in May of 2021. I bled for about two weeks after that, and since then, I have gotten no periods. I already have common sharp pains, cramping, and gastric inflammation so it's hard to determine what is a new, sudden pain. The past week consisted of some of the worst cramps that were coming from my pelvis. They felt like what I remember as menstrual cramps, and now I am spotting as much as I used to when I would start a period. I originally thought maybe the IUD got stuck in the endometrium, but now I am not too sure. I know my situation isn't easy to crack, but I am so lost right now :/ Additionally, I have migraines with the aura, and I cannot take estrogen of any form in a moderate or high dose as this makes me more likely to have a stroke. My doctor said we can do the surgery again, take hormone blockers, or get a hysterectomy and I am only 19.
