How long does it take Mirena (IUD) to be effective?
It is said to be effective right when it is inserted!
Hi, I had it inserted on 11th October but I am continously bleeding. It was heavy for the last 3-4 days. I am given an impression by the OBGYN that my case is rare and it takes at least 3 months to get MIRENA adjusted. If it is effective immediately, I am at a loss to understand why it is taking me so much time. ANy views?
It takes about one week but to be safe two weeks
