missed period, negative pregnancy test and thrush

To Everyone that is getting negatives on hpt it might be the test u seem like u have the prenancy symptoms i went threw the same thing i figured all test were the same till i read this

It's not easy. In the New Mexico study, First Response Early Result was the most sensitive test the researchers checked, though the test showed only a faintly positive result for the lowest levels of the hormone. But new products come out all the time and other brands may make improvements to their products at any time. Consumer Reports ranks 18 available tests on its Web site (though you have to subscribe to see the report).

Some package inserts provide some information about a test's sensitivity — that is, they report the lowest concentration of hCG (in milli-International Units per milliliter of urine) that the test can detect. For example, a pregnancy test that claims to be able to detect hCG at 20 mIU/ml should theoretically be more sensitive than one that claims to detect it at 50 mIU/ml. Unfortunately, this information is often misleading because there are actually different kinds of hCG and these numbers won't necessarily tell you how good a test is at detecting the kind that's most relevant in early pregnancy.

i am 21 yrs old and my period is almost a month late now. i have always had a very regular cycle, i haven't taken birth control in almost a year and i haven't done anything diffrent. i took a hpt and it came out neg i also had blood work done and that was neg. i have realy wanted to get pregnant but it hasn't happend. im just concerned because of how long it has been and i have had some pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, head achs, lower back pains, and a few others. i was woundering if i could be pregnant but in the very early stages and maybe thats why the hpt and the blood work was neg, but i dont know any other way to find out. what can i do

I am single and I thought I met Mr. right in early April. I had not had sex since last october. I had sex with Mr. Right on April 22. It was bad, very rough and he insisted on finding my "g spot". It was very painful and I screamed alot and just wanted it to be over! He really hurt me! Right after that I got a yeast infection from end to end down there. I got rid of it after two weeks with over the counter medicine. The day after the sex i was very sore and I had a diareah. That month I was a few days late. I have never been late in my life. This month I am 1 week late and I have no symptoms. I never get sore breasts or any other symptoms before my period other then some crying maybe a headache and maybe my face breaks out but that doesn't always happen. I hear about menopause but this lateness started after sex and it's hard to not tie it to that. Could he have hurt me and that's why im having period issues. Could this g
spot thing have "broke me" inside? I never have to worry about being pregnant because I don't have sex so it seems strange that I finally have sex again and then for two months im having late periods. Could he have kicked me into menopause out of the blue, could he have harmed me internally and broke something that gives you a period, could I be pregnant?

But my periods are so irregular that i dont when i am suppose to start so i dont know how many days i am lat it could be a week or a couple of days. I could use some advise from anyone.

hi. i've got a diff kind of prob.. see i had my first thrush and then i started my period, but im having symptoms of pregnancy. i took a pregnancy test and ended in total taking four. on our second one i felt really sick and i took another test. it showed a strong line but another very faint line. before i could do anything i got nailed in the stomach by some kids i was watching who were horsing around. three days later i took two more tests and both said negative and i started a very heavy clotted period... help someone.... %-) %-) %-)

I had the same thing. But not the thrush. My period is 4/5 days late and it has never been late or early in the 10 years I have had it. Also my pregancy test I bought turned negative. I am thinking maybe its a false negative. I am going to wait a few more days see if my period does come. Then prob go to the doctor and ask whats going on?

Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for 12 months. I last came on my period 7 and a half weeks ago, I have now done two test the last one taken 30/06 today being 5/07. Both tests came out negative.
Last night I woke up with period pains and had to take some pain killers but when I woke up there still was no blood. About an hour after I arrived at work blood has arrived and I through this was it, but when I went to change my tampon there was very little blood and it was more brown than usual.
My periods are not usual regular but they are never more than 10 days late and I have always had very heavy periods never like what I have experienced today, could there be a chance I'm pregant if not why haven't i come on yet, please advice?

I dont know if I am pregnant. I totally skipped my period. But the test said negative. Im just going to wait a few more days then take another one. . It could have said neg cause there might have not been enough hormones in my body to make it say positive.

My last period was May 3rd. I took an HPT (first response) on June 16th which came out negative. After this I just figured my cycle was late. It has been as long as 47 days between my cycles, but that was only once 3 years ago. Other than that my cycle is always 30-31 days give or take a day. However, my period still did not come on a week after the initial test. I took the second test on June 23rd and it was negative too. Today is July 6th and I still haven't had my cycle. I don't have any pregnancy symptons. I have been experiencing low back, frequent hiccups, gas/burps, and have to urine at night (which is something I normally never do). What could be wrong with me. I have a doctor's appointment Monday. I'll repost with the outcome. Hopefully, I'm not pregnant!!

i am a week late, but i have done a pregnancy test and it has come back negative i am going to do another one on the 20th (of july) as i figured it may be enough time to find out wether i am or not? i also keep being sick every second day or something! i dont have thrush either has anyone else got these symptoms?

Wow..I can't believe how similar my symptoms are to everyone else's.

I am now on my 42nd day of no period. 2 preg tests neg. and wondering what's going on. (the only reason I know when my last period was is b/c it started on Memorial day) I'm TIRED a little sick but it might just be the heat..and last night I was wondering if I could be getting a yeast infection but have no sign of one.

I have a slight tummy issue (b/c I waited so long to pee/waiting to get a preg test) I don't know what my deal is...HELP!

What happened with everyone else??

Hi; Sort of new at this in a way;.
I need to ask a stupid question, what is a thrush?
My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year now. I missed my period last month and this month it was suppose to start yesterday, but it still has not. I did have a brown discharge that really stinked. But last month I took a hpt and it came up negative. I am also 47 going to be 48 next week. I'm thinking it might be menopause.
Anybody got any ideas. I'm tired of negative tests :'(

Ok now I'm kind of scared that I really might be pregnant!

I'm not on any kind of B/C anymore (had bad experiences with my last one and have been off since April) and my boyfriend and I generally use the pull-out method (I know, I know!) because he has really good control. We last had sex on the 18th of Aug, and when I do the calculating, that date does show up as one of my fertile days.

Ever since last week I've been having waves of nausea off and on and bad headaches almost daily and cramps every now and then. Which is why I got paranoid about being PG to begin with. My period was due to arrive on Monday the third. Well the Saturday before I was getting so scared that I bought one of those Early Result tests, though the cheap kind. It claims to be abel to detect pregnancy up to 3 days before your missed period. So I took it two days before my period was due and it came back negative. I was pretty relieved until Monday when I not only hadn't gotten my period or any sign of it but had the worse "symptoms" yet. Horrible nausea, I vomitted twice, and then headaches all day. So I caved in and took the second test that was in the box, again negative.

So I thought it was all over and done with, a test was taken on the day of my missed period and was negative. No way I can be pregnant then I'm thinking. I've either came down with something maybe to give me those symptoms.


Well now it is Friday and not a single, tiniest sign of my period in sight. I already took the two PG tests and both were negative. But the past two days the cramping has started more often and I'm worried that my period isn't here yet.

I read the link up above about how HPT's aren't always as accurate as they claim. Especially those that claim early response. And now I'm worried that testing 2 days early and on my missed period date with cheap tests might not have been the end all to this.


I'm still hoping my period will come and I can be relieved. Not that I wouldn't love a baby, but just not right now in my life is a good time. I'm also worried because I currently take Lithium for depression and I know you're not supposed to take it if you're pregnant. So far I haven't stopped because of the negative test results but I'm worried if I am pregnant what affects I may have already caused by continuing the usage of the pills.

I'm confused as ever right now. I'm going to hold out a little longer though. If there's still no sign of my period by Monday, I'm giong to go out that night and buy one of the good HPT's that come recommended (and not just the cheapest brand like last time lol) and test when I wake Tues. up with first monring urine. And if it comes back negative again then I think I'll feel pretty comfortable that I'm not pregnant and will just have to wait and get a doctor's appointment if my period never shows and see what's going on.
