Plan B will get you feeling like a mess the next day because of the effects. It wasn't that bad for me, it just felt like a normal bad-period day. My period started around 2-3 days after I took the pill and lasted a bit shorter than my normal period (which is usually 6 days.)

Now, what had happened was..
I had my period regularly last month on the 18th. This month, shortly after the pill, my period came on the 12th. Then I took the pill again the week after, and my period started again on the 22nd. That's 3 period in almost a month timeframe, someone scream 'torture' :/

I got my period black friday, lasted about 4 days, and a week and a half later had a mishap with the condom so i took plan b to be on the safe side, I had a MIGRAINE 4 days after taking it, sick to my stomache the next day, then 2 days later I was greeted by a full blown period when i was up. I was tryin to get some answers on here because Ive only taken it one other time about a year and a half ago, it was so close to my period it kind of just ran into my normal cycle with no other issues but i mean, a week and a half after my period's different...and I came across this post and I swear to GODDDD i hope i don't have that problem. Torture would just be an understatement, this sucks! I didn't even think that migraine and nausea would have been from taking that but now that I think of it, it could have been. ...yikes. Good luck with that by the way! Wish me luck ;) lol

I took plan B within two hours of a condom mishap and got my period a week later... almost two weeks early and lighter than normal. totally freaked me out. I got back on the pill shortly after that and my cycle is back to normal.

I took plan b about a week or two ago as a result of a condom mishap XD.
The thing is, I started a new period two days after the last one. My cycles are usually a month to a month and a half between menstruation. Anyone else had early periods? It was a lot lighter than normal, so IDK...I saw that plan b can cause light bleeding in between? Is that what they meant?

glad to find this forum, even if it is freaking me out a tad %-)

sorry, i don't have much to contribute to previous posts since this is my first experience with PlanB, but perhaps my experience will help a new reader in the future...

i took plan b 20 hrs after my mishap... which i believe was on day 20 of my cycle. i had no side effects until day 6, when i had tender & swollen breasts. but no big deal. today is day 28. i've had no spotting. normally day 29 is when i get my period. (i am on birth control pills, but have been on antibiotics, thus the reason for my taking PB). i'd say 85% of the time, i get my period during the first half of the day. needless to say, i'm very anxiously awaiting my next 24hrs.

from what i've read, it could come a week later and i shouldn't be surprised. gosh i hope not as i will be on pins & needles! i've never taken a pregnancy test, but might have to if something doesn't happen in 48hrs.

fingers crossed all turns out well (ie, no pregnancy). then the next few months will be interesting to see if my cycle retains any bit of normality, or if it goes out of wack like many postings prior to this. not many have said if they were on birth control pills already, so perhaps my scenario will be different.

thanks...

Same story with my girlfriend and me. She had finished her period about a week before she took Plan B and started her period about a day or two after its use. She has normal cycles every 5 weeks, so starting her period a week after she had just finished her period freaked us out. Evidently it's normal so don't fret it too much. Hope this helped.

i had my girlfriend take plan b after having sex when i pulled out too late and accidentally came in her. she was spotting, but in the plan b info packet it says that its normal but then she got her period right on time next month on dec 21th-26th or so, but now she is spotting again and its jan 8th. its only been 2 weeks from her last period. we recently took a home test and it was negative. she took the pill in mid november. the pill is deffinatley helpful in preventing pregnancies and correcting sex mishaps, but its not worth the anxiety. just wear a condom or get on the pill. i was wondering if what shes going through is normal. hope this helps to anyone.

I had very few immediate side effects after taking the morning after pill (taken approx. 12 hrs after incident (29th dec). However I was feeling ill at the time, and I think the pill may have exacerbated my symptoms. I felt extreme nausea any time I ate, and experienced unusually problematic fatigue. I was unable to get through the day without a nap. Two weeks after taking the MAP, I got my period exactly when I was meant to (Jan 13). It was the strangest period I have ever had - extremely light, I didn't even bother with tampons. The second day was slightly heavier, and a more normal red flow, yet still nowhere near what I would normally experience. Day 3 and 4 were very light, really just spotting - I'd only get blood when I wiped.
On the 26th of Jan I began experiencing what I thought were ovulation cramps, which I was very excited about, as I still had fears of pregnancy. However yesterday (28th Jan) the cramps intensified, and I started my "proper" period. I say proper because this one is completely normal - just two weeks early/late, depending which way you look at it. While it's frustrating to be bleeding again, I am thrilled, as this has boosted my assurance that I am not pregnant. (Have stupidly not yet taken a pregnancy test, but was waiting until my next period, given how pathetic my first one was).
This is kind of a post to give some assurance to other girls experiencing abnormal periods, but also I would like assurance myself! Has my cycle been completely messed up? Should I plan for my next period from the first (13th of Jan) or the second (28th of Jan?)

Hope everything works out well for all of us concerned!

Any advice or similar incident info is very appreciated...

My gf and I had the condom break on us. However I pulled out, but it was very, very close and im not sure if it made much difference. (yeah, it was that close)
That's how we found out the condom broke.

We drove to a pharmacy and got Plan B and she took the 1st pill within 45 minutes after sex, and the 2nd one exactly 12 hours later.

She was around day 1 or 2 of her cycle when all this happened, and I cant help be feel worried and anxious.

Should we feel at high risk of pregnancy in this case?

Im not sure if where your at during your cycle makes a difference when using plan B, and that's why im so worried.

Any info is more than appreciated

I took the morning after pill after my boyfriend accidentally came inside of me around a week ago. I took the pill within 12 hours and had no side effects. But I'm quite worried.

We had the mishap less than a week before my period, so I assume the egg would've been somewhere at the bottom of my tubes by then. The sperm was also in there all night because when I went for the loo, I had some on my panties which I had freshly put on that morning. Anyway, I got my period not long after, but it's been really light so far. It's never been this light, and I know it's definitely my period because I've had cramp the week before it and sore breasts and all the usual things I have, and also it started off normal, and it was due for when it came.

Anyone else had this happen? I'm going for a pregnancy test once my period is finished, which will be soon judging by how it's went so far. It's also been quite brownish, if that means anything. %-)

Hi, I took the morning afterpill straight after a condom broke, i had a heavy period that lasted for a few days and then on and off for about 2- 3 weeks. It stopped and i have been now waiting for my normal period, which is yet to come. My breasts have swollen and they really hurt, im moody and bloated to. Im so worried i could be pregnant. although it doesnt seem that likely, my breasts have def. got bigger and usually this does nto happen in such an extreme manner with my normal pms

hi
I took a morning after pill one month ago. Period came 1 week after (almost the same time as my regular period)
And no unprotected sex after that.
My period is now coming about 3 days EARLY.
Is that period? or is that implementation spotting??

I'm really worried!!!

I had unprotected intercourse with my boy friend, he did not ejaculate though, around 11pm on friday night around the 14th day of my cycle. I took a morning after pill 18 hours later, how successful would this be, and when should I expect my period? I have heard that it should come immediately and this is worrying me as it has not come yet?

Thanks and your reponse would be appreciated.

I took Plan B 3 months ago and still haven't gotten my period.
I'm not pregnant but my doctor says she doesn't even know how many months on birth control it will take to get my cycle back to normal again.
