I have been on morphine before but I used it as tablets. With tablets I knew my dose. The doc prescribed liquid morphine to me now and I have no idea how to measure my doses. Is there anybody who has used morphine liquid before. I have a couple of tablets left, and then I am on the liquid.
You should have got a marked measuring spoon so that you can easily measure a dose of the liquid. You should not use a regular spoon. I think you should go back to the pharmacy and ask where you can get the proper spoon. Don’t forget to shake the before you measure the dose.
I was prescribed morphine tablets because i am suffering terrible pain since i injured myself at work !! But because the pain is erratic they prescribed liquid morphine as well for pain breakthrough !!
The only thing is with the liquid morphine being unstable (taking whenever the pain is very bad ) im now going through 1000mls in 9days plus i take 120mg tablets 3 times a day !!
I am very worried because i am only supposed to be taking 5-10ml at a time but what has happenend my body has got a high tolerence to it so the affect i was getting with it (pain relief ) ive had to increase higher each time over a few weeks for it to work !! (the desired affect )
why is this and is 1000mls a lot to take over 9 days just a bit worried !!!
