In continuing my never ending pursuit to understand the fairer sex, I'm trying to figure out what makes relationships work (long term). Putting physical attraction aside - What are the 3 most important traits (in order) of a successful relationship/marriage?

Just curious to see what your people think about this. Thanks.

P.S. Since I don't know if some of you are male or female, please include your (sexual) identity when posting. ;)
compromise, give and take, compromise, pull your weight, honesty and compromise...when in doubt or at a stand still; give a little...

:1: In my very limited dating experience, if she's not willing to compromise about little things in the first few dates, she won't be willing to compromise later on and there will be problems.

don't always put it on the other half....sometimes it's you that will need to concede...

Compromise is a biggie.

Sense of humor helps. "When a woman smiles you can see her soul"

Not being self centered (this goes for both sides).

To thine own sense be true.

I must give 4 - loyalty, honesty, laughter, ability to compromise.

There's only two :: Comes from a rich family and stacked.

Is that on or off topic (cause I have yet to find a stacked sugar momma yet)?

Love and honor, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, richer or poorer

Those would be my four exactly.

Empathy (being able to understand the other person's point of view), compromise, sense of humour, trust, and honesty.

I know that's 5, but that's my opinion. I'm a female, BTW. :P

Compatible and complimentary parts certainly do not hurt (all you Little Leaguers out there know what I mean).
