I did smoke cigs, and I did quit. That's crazy. But this happened before I quit cigs. My latest hypothesis was I thought it was happening because of my previous job. I disliked it and thought I had anxiety because of it. but i've been at my new job for awhile now and i like it, but its not going away. What meds have you tried? I think we need to keep telling ourselves that it's from anxiety and not because something is wrong with us. Something is going on on subconscious level, maybe we need to be hypnotized or someshit to get to the bottom of it. I've been working out since high school but then stopped and lately for like two years steady. But my diet is not the greatest and I drink. What about you? And what do you do, in school or work now?

It just amazes me how similar all this is, it's like the exact same stuff has happened . There so many freakish similarities. I was working and it was bad too I thought the job made it worse. I had it before I started the job but it's not that. I have been eating a lot better and that doesn't work. I stopped drinking for months and that's not help. It's got to be anxiety and we are too focused on it. Or some nerve problem. That's all it can be I think it's anxiety but I can't get it out of my f*****g head. I know I'm obsessing over it . It pisses me off so much. Do you think you have Ocd? I think I def have it

I tried Ssri but I got insomnia and I didn't eat or anything. Was no help still was focusing on that region. Tried Xanax , nothing just made me sleepy. Tried herbs and still no help

Wow I thought not drinking and good diet would help. We're def obsessing over it and I don't know what to do anymore. This sh*t sucks. I wish somebody knew what was wrong or how to cure this. It's always on my mind because it's always bothering me.

This is not an issue for a urologist. This is a symptom related to anxiety. The reason this occurs is as a physical symptom to anxiety. One of the most common physical symptoms of anxiety and stress is tension in the hips and the muscles in the groin area. The scrotum is a muscle and thus it reacts as well...

I have overcome this issue and only in times of great anxiety do I suffer from it (very rare).

1. Reassure yourself it's not a serious issue
2. Work on relaxing and your anxiety and stress, try yoga as it helps with the muscles too....
3. Think positively, I spent a good year worrying about it constantly and I thought my life was over. Now I worked on making myself happy and relaxed and it never crosses my mind

Thanks for post, I really appreciate the response and advice . Been searching for answers for over a year. Are you a 100 percent sure it is anxiety and it's not neurological or some type of nerve entrapment? Thanks again

I have had this challenge in 3 years now. It started with a pressure sensation in the anal area and after a while I got this tingelig moving sensation in my testies. I have tried a lot of things. Got a coloscopy, mr and physical exam but nothing is visually present that can explain this. I tried magnesium(for muscle cramps), hemmoriod gel/pills, homeopatic medicine etc. I still have this burning pressure in my anus like you have to bowel. In stress it is getting worse and the tesicle/scrotum movement really starts. Like a wave it starts in one side and moves along the scrotum. It feels like it`s getting less when I`m resting(napping) but as soon as I wake up it is starting again. After a good night sleep it feels less and it takes a while until it is getting more intense. I really try to do meditation and do some stretching but have not found a good solution. BUT as you are writing it maybe have something to do with stress and "worrying". It`s like the body is reacting to psychical stress/anxiety by tense some muscles and it goes in to kinda cramps. For some years I had a similar kind of feeling in my throat when I swallowed, like a kind of sore throat. That went away after some months. So my theory is like you write. This has something to do with stress, anxiety, depression. I`m kind of that person but I´m in fulltime work and are working really hard to relax more often. Do mindfulness, stretches(yoga?) and try to take things more slow. I am still looking for a miracle solution so please join the discussion becuase this is really annoying and makes my days really challenging.

I tried not worrying about it, i told myself that nothing is wrong with me and thought it would go away but months went by and nothing changed. I dont usually think about it until it really bothers me. I tried accepting the fact that thats how its going to be and i just have to deal with it. But at times it get very bad

I suffered from exactly every single one of these syptoms and I have overcome this problem. It is a reaction to anxiety and I can assure you this is the case. I have had every physical examination possible and all came back healthy. The reason doctors don't know what it is is because it is a physical symptom caused from a psychological issue. Effectively if you tell yourself there is something wrong that thing will happen, which is the case here. Not to mention that when you are anxious adrenaline is released, which in turn causes the fright or flight syndrome, causing your body to protect itself. One main symptom of this is your penis and testicles retracting into the body, which is effectively what is happening. It is of absolutely no danger to you and it is merely your mind telling you to protect that area because you think something is wrong. What made me realise nothing is wrong is the fact I took every test possible and it reassured me it was all fine. Now I don't have this issue and hardly ever think about it. If you guys commit yourself to improving your anxiety and stress in an organic manner (avoiding drugs) you will be happy and this issue will be a thing of the past.
