I have a few nodules of mucosal neuroma on the right side of my tongue which was surgically removed. But there is still a 2-3 small nodules on the left side which I intend to remove next week. I have removed the right side on 21 Sept 2006 but I still feel sensitivity to the cut area. Should I have the left side removed too? How long does the sensitivity remain after a tongue operation? Will I be able to eat if I have anoth operation on the left side so soon? Endocrinologists have tested my urine for catachloramine for adrenal and ultra sound for thyroid cancers but they have negative results for both. No family history of MEN. My doctors said that I am quite safe but because I am very worry until I have reflux and axiety, docs advise that I take another test in 6 months time which will be sufficient to rule out MEN. 2 endocrinologisted assured me that I am quite safe from thyroid and adrenal cancers as the result have turn out negative except for a few neuroma at both sides of the tongue. Does neuroma tends to recur after surgery.

Thank you and await your reply.
