Help... I've been off the pill for six months and consistently started on day 32 until this month. This month, I started on day 22 and ended on day 26. And started again on day 28? Strange coincidence... the same thing happened is happening at the same time to a close friend of mine. What could be causing this change?
What you are describing is normal, and not TWO periods, it just stopped then started again.

It is normal for women to bleed heavily for 1-3 days, stop, they may feel cramping, and bleed again. A period tends to last 7 days, so if you start and stop within the 7 days it is considered normal.

Im having multiple periods in a month. I will average anywhere from 2 to 4 of them. I use to be on birth control but I havent been on it in about 10 months. The whole time I was on it, however, I would bleed all month long. My OBGYN tested me to see if I was anemic or to see if I was becoming one since I was losing so much blood. The tests proved to be negative. I dont know what to do about it. Does anyone know what it could be from?

I have recently found that i have been having multiple periods throughout the month and im getting a little anxious as to why. I have been off the pill for a few months now, and questioned my DR the other day as to why this could be happening but he brushed it off as stress related. I did a pregnancy test and it came out negative ....phew! but just wanting to know whats wrong. Ive had it about 3 weeks outa 4 this month and have also suffered with headaches alot lately. Someone ease my worry plzzzz.

Your body could still be adjusting to the omission of the pill. Yes, it has been a few moths since you were on, but women's bodies seem to adjust at all rates and expectancies. My advice aside from this is to find a better doctor. At least one who doesn't brush you off, but one who asks questions about your health to help you better understand it. Since he brushed it off as stress, did he give you any information about stress relief? If not, you certainly want to be visiting a new doctor soon. Best of luck to you and keep us posted on what you find out!

Hi I am a RN and still I have questions too.  All of our bodies are different and yes they react to stress.  To the girl that said she has cramping sore and sore breast but no periond my guess is you are pregnant!  That happened to me.  Also there is a worse case scenario.  If your periods are acting up this bad or its bothering you go see your OBGYN once every year at least.  Over 70% of cancer starts in our reproductive organs-women ovaries and breasts men-prostate.  Take a  home pregnancy test when you are uncertain.  If you're on birth control or just got off it then yes your hormones will act up because birth control is hormones that control reproduction. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a similar issue. for the month of july my period was 12 days late. I took several pregnancy tests all were negative. But i finally got it at the very end of july it was basically normal lasted about 6 days as they usually do. then it ended and I still felt cramps and pelvic pain intermittently. Then a bout two weeks later It came back again all very dark blood lots of clotting and tissues and this long thick cord like thing came out. extreme cramps and pelvic pain. that lastd for about 5 days and then I was done. I still felt cramps had headaches vertigo and pelvic pain intermittently. then about a week later I got my period again this time bright red blood...This has never happened to me before. I am 25 years old and have not been on the pill since I was 19. any ideas as to what this could be? I dont have a doctor or any insurance. I havent had a papsmear done since I was 20.
