I have an acoholic mother and she was supposed to pick me and my little sister up from school about a week ago and we had half days for confrences and so she wasn't there so I called and she sounded fine so we waited for about 45 min and then I called again so she sayed Tom was going to pick us up (my mom has a restraining order against him for beating her) so I started freaking out an when she came to school she had drank beer and she has one of those life saver things in her car for her to blow in it to tell if she had achohol so she had some and her car wouldn't start so she called Tom the school wouldn't let her take us thank god I live with my dad so I had to call my grandma to come and pick us up normally I wouldn't say anything about her relapse but she really screwed up this time and I want to say something to her when I first see her and tell her she really screwed up this time( gosh I feel like my moms parent ) but I don't want to trigger another relapse what do I say?

My heart goes out to you, all you can say to her is Mom you messed up and now I think we all need to get some type of counseling. My kids had bad experiences with their alcoholic father and I took advantage of the school resources of counselors. It did help them alot.

Thanks and my kids are way past grown now and great, they knew then and know now I would try my best to help them by any means possible. You do the same for yourself.
