Same for me I got my tetunus in my right shoulder/arm and some other important shot in my left and the first day the left arm hurt like a pulled muscle and I was using my tetunus shot arm for everything because I felt nothing at all on that arm and I went to sleep the same way but when I woke up woooo buddy that left arm felt a little better and I wasn't expecting the right arm to hurt out when I got up and moved my arm the slightest way it felt like a severely pulled muscle and it still hurts as I type (this was all yesterday and today)

Just read your post regarding your tetanus shot booster. I seem to have similar problems as you with pain in my shoulder and my arm in tingling running down into my hand. Wondering if it is because a nerve was hit when giving the shot? Also how did you make out, did it eventually go away on its own or did you need medical help to resolve it?

I got my tetanus shot one week tomorrow. The night I got the shot I was okay but the two days after were horrible. My arm was swollen, a bit dark (at least compared to the other arm) and it was very painful to move. I felt immobilized for about 3-4 days. I was unable to sleep on the side I was injected on. It's been 6 days now and I'm feeling much better. It's still a bit sore but I can move it again. I went to the gym for some light cardio and it stung afterwards but I think it was just flushing out the area. The nurse said nothing of this when I got the shot but my doctor (who I saw after the pain started) said this is normal for up to two weeks.

Call the doctors office and tell them and see what they say

I received a tetanus shot last Wednesday from today. My arm is not swollen or anything just real sore. What can I do to get some pain relief?

I got my first one yesterday and the doctor said that i could be in pain for up to 2 weeks. My arm is very sore and hurts to touch or move. I recommend alternating ice and heat, ( Heat works best for me ) and taking pain reliever. ( Tylenol or Ibuprofen )

The majority of Tetanus is caused by poor diet and hygiene - not a rusty nail. According to 2016 stats, there are about 7 deaths per year from Tetanus. 85% of all cases will fully recover. You have a 260 times greater chance of dying from Tuberculosis. So contracting Tetanus is rare. and THAT is why people should think twice about getting the shot.

Heat made my injection site feel worse. The ice was better but soreness still lingering 2 days later.

The nurse who gave me my tetanus today gave it in my dominant arm on purpose - saying that the more I moved the arm the quicker it would disperse the drug and be less painful. I am experiencing pain in the arm (5-6 on a scale of 1-10)...I just took an extra strength Advil so hopefully that'll help so I can get some sleep.
