"What to do?". Almost 7 months & with regular exercise, the pain is almost gone. That was a miserable period of my life. No more tetanus injections for this puppy !!

I got the shot yesterday and my arm hurts so much! I got three shots total but hpv and tetanus were on the same arm. I could barely lift it today. Aha what a baby right. Anyway I massaged it a little and it feels a little better.

You'll be ok in about four to five days.
You never lnow when you may have an accident. I'm 87 and had a nasty fall two day ago hitting my head on concrete. They gave me a tetanus jab because of all the rubbish I picked up in FACEmy wound. Hurts like hell but it will go away.

What about folks like me who don't want opioids to dull the pain from a tetanus shot...I'm pissed off because I got a tetanus shot for precaution because of stepping on a bloody 200yr old nail. (Adidas sneakers aren't steel shanked apparently..) I take great pride in not taking all these stupid vaccines, not taking opioids to dull the pain(lay off opioids people...they fck with your head), not ever going to hospital....I still have f'ing pain in my shoulder from the tetanus shot...AND IT WAS 3 MONTHS AGO GOING ON 4. nurse said it had the whooping sh*t in it too...told her I thought I was just getting a tetanus shot. Is my shoulder ever going to be the same?????

Uh...sometimes people have very adverse reactions to the shot, and that can also be a problem. Some people have severe allergic reactions, and although it is very rare, this is also cause for concern, and you must get medical attention for it. No one is saying that you shouldn't get the shot, some people just don't react well to it, and you want to be sure that it's not something that you need to go to the doctor for.
You were also apparently experiencing some symptoms and you looked them up online just like these people. Your anger at the other posters makes absolutely no sense.
And yes, obviously Tetanus is really terrible- that's why pretty much everyone gets immunized against it. But modern day medicine also makes it possible for those who unfortunately get it to live. It CAN cause a terrible death, but mostly only in those who do not seek medical attention or who have compromised immune systems. People with health concerns often come to sites like these, and spreading unnecessary fear the way you are is not going to help anyone.
Everyone should be immunized, and it is very important to be immunized, but it is not a death sentence if you do still get it.

Do you still have pain? I got my tetanus shot back in October of 17 and 5 months later I still have bad pain that radiates out from where they did the tetanus shot....

I’m going on 5 months since my tetanus shot and my arm still hurts. Hurts when I workout hurts when I don’t move it. What gives. I should not have pain this long!

That happened to me too. After the tetanus shot I couldn’t move my arm higher than halfway without excruciating pains. Taking off my shirt was near impossible for about 2 months. I slowly gained back range of motion but still 7 months later have horrible constant pain from the injection site that radiates out. I don’t know what to do about it. I’m def never getting another tetanus shot ever again!!

I’m going on 7 months with terrible pain from where they did the tetanus shot for a first degree burn... :/. I’m so annoyed by it I don’t know what to do. I went back to the doc several times complaining about what they did to me and they act like I need to keep putting a heating pad and working the muscle out... Ummmmm it’s been 7 freaking months... I feel like my arm will never be right and will ALWAYS Hurt daily.
