After poking myself on a rusty barb wire,I had a tdap shot in the fall of 2015, which resulted in a severe injury to my shoulder. I still have pain every day. It resulted in bursitis, tendonitis, 2 rotator cuff tears, bone marrow edema, arthritis, nerve damage, frozen shoulder, etc. I went through 3 MRI, and 17 months of physical therapy, all for a vaccine that would not have prevented tetanus anyway. And I did not need one as I did not have a deep puncture wound. It affected every aspect of my life. Never will I ever allow anyone to give me another vaccine! And when you go to the doctor to complain they tell you that there's no way that this could happen from a vaccine. Well I proved them wrong by going to the web and pulling up medical studies!

Just curious if your pain went away. I had my tetanus shot about 8 months ago and my arm still aches. My doctor says this is not a side effect of the vaccination so I really don't know where to go from here. Did you see a doctor?

I just got a tetanus shot two days ago. Within six hours my arm was in such pain I simply tried not to move it. On a scale of 1-10 when moving it, the pain was near 10. I have had knee surgeries and other painful events in my life, so my 10 rating is estimated thoughtfully and with experience. I have never experienced anything like it over the past 5 or 6 other tetanus shots I have had in my life. Other folks on this forum and folks I have talked to have all commented on the incredible pain of this shot, and the pain lasts for days so it affects even the ability to type on the computer. What's going on? How has the serum changed?

I am in so much pain after having a tetanus shot.
I have severe tingling that engulfs my whole shoulder and travels down my whole arm and the tip of my index finger is numb always
I have been as fit as a fiddle my whole life
I went to doctor with a spider bite and they insisted that I have the shot
It's been two months now and seems to be getting worse
It feels like something is seriously going on in my nervous system I'm scared as hell
I hope it doesn't stay this way
My doctor says that it can't be from the tetanus shot.
I have had ultrasounds, X-rays ct scans and it all comes back fine now I have to go to a nerve specialist
I can't afford to take any more time off work as I have had to take days off to go to all these appointments
My whole day is consumed thinking about these nerve rushes'
I know this is from the tetanus shot
Surely I don't have to spend the rest of my life like this
I'm 43

I have the same reaction. It’s been 1 1/2 months since the shot and I can barely change my shirt. Did you get a response to this??

Hi, I'm going through something similar and was wondering if you are still in pain or if you ever found out why it hurt for so long? Thanks!

So true! I just read “why do I accept these poisons into my system?” (They’re not poisons) and the simple answer is to stay alive and healthy! Some discomfort is better than the alternative. (1st world complainer..try living in countries without access to vaccines and general heath care. Rhey’re is much suffering and death.
