I am so frightened! I delivered my baby couple of days ago and it looks like she does not have the left ear drum! Doctors are still debating on what to do and still assessing her condition while I am completely desperate. What should I do? What are the options for her? Will she be able to hear normally?
Yes, don’t worry. Most probably it is an ear drum atresia, a condition that is affecting the ear drum in a way that makes the drum diminish completely. But the good thing is that the operation might be done and the artificial ear drum can be implanted. I am just not sure when this procedure is done, right now or after a while.
