I have been having sex with my girlfriend for about two months now and she just told me she was diagnosed with Hepatitis C years ago, then after subsequent test "they" could not find it in her systeme anymore. I don't know what this means. I really like her a lott but I don't want to contract this disease. I told her before we started having sex that I had (HSV 2) and it didn't scare her off, so I would feel like a jerk if I left her for this. She says it is not transmitted sexually but I have heard it is. Can it really not be in her system anymore? Is she "cured"? Is there a cure? How at risk am I if I stay with her? I really don't want to lose her, but I have two kids and I don't want to end up being sick for the rest of my life with a chronic disease. I don't know what to do, can you help?
