My periods for the last 3 months , at least, and since I have been seriously working out and eating nutritiously, have been consistently delayed monthly. My monthly period is due on a sunday, for the last 3 months it arrives casually on a wednesday. Then my period plays hide and seek with me. I guess I get so anxious when I see my own blood that i wilt it to go away. Then , the only time for the next day that i see blood is when i urinate. Then by friday it sneaks up on me , just when i thought it was safe to use a mini pad. Then all the sudden i get these 2x a day hemorrage like spills all at 1 time. its when i least expect it. Thats i suppose when im least anxious and my opening for the blood to flow widens and then o gosh it all gushes out at 1 time. I have to bolt to the toilet find a tampon and use reinforcement too like a pad plus a tampon. I almost forgot to take my darn tampon out towards the last day of my period, then thank heave it suddenly dawned on me to pull out that tampon. Then, on that last day of my period, same exact time as yesterday's hemorragic gusher, it happened again. Just when i thought the clouds were gonna clear I had a huge gusher. So again I panicked, bolted to the toilet, only i was at cosco, and it was like dodging bullets to make it in time to the darn toilet. It started there I think for the opposite reason, not from being relaxed. These kids were running a bit too fast and too close to me, and then suddenly when i least expected it, was trying on slippers and having fun. Then suddenly had to bolt to the toilet. So it took about 30 mins from the time of being startled to the time i began having a gusher. But the day before, it had happened around that same time when I was only preparing to eat my sandwhich at lunch. Kind of weird ha. I use a regulating steriod too, but i think its just age. This never happened like in college or even h.s when I was around all sorts of people running in circles round me. Now im older and i guess my body and mind are a bit more fragile. Oh well, what can I do about this irregular and consistently delayed  problem???

Well I know from personal experience that periods are just fickle to begin with. I have done a lot of research on periods just because I am not regular. What I have learned is that when you change anything in your life, your period changes too. So with your sudden increase in physical fitness, it is playing havoc on your hormones which is causing your irregular period.

As for the gushing symptoms, try taking midol as a daily pill while on your period, it might help. I know it says it is for cramping, but the reason your probably gushing blood is because when you get spooked your body tenses then relaxes, and when it relaxes you lose the blood. The midol will help by making your body not tense to begin with so you bleed more continuously instead of in gushes.

Now Im no doctor, but from my personal experience and what I have learned from research, this should help :)

Good Luck!

Oh, well thank you. Mabey I'll consider adding the Midol 1 day, next period and see how it works. I already take a caffeine w/ hoodia supplament, and vitamins, and so mabey i will try 1 day and see if it has any interactions with hoodia and caffeine. I think that has some caff in it, but i think there is 1 w/o the caffeine in it too. I choose that 1 and still take my diet pill w/ caff and hoodia too. Thankzzzz.
