This flaking, burning, itching, redness, cracking, dryness. Is a yeast infection and plain yogurt when going to bed, coconut oil during the day will help a lot!! The yogurt bacteria kill the bad bacteria that causes this. I've had this three times in my life. Because I get really sweaty balls or cause the girl I had sex with was a dirty girl. Trust me try the yogurt but make sure it's plain yogurt

Hey guys, I have a solution. I get this regularly from shaving and also found that prolonged use of talcum powder (to stop sweaty but syndrome ;) ) cause exactly the same problems. I visited my GP and was prescribed a Hydrocortizone cream, it's readily available over the counter and in pharmacies and it basically rehydrates the skin, it's used for fungal infections like athletes foot and sweat rash too but I found that a few days of applying this cream (sparingly as it has a steroid in it that thins the skin, and ball skin isn't exactly thick at the best of times!) really helped to clear the whole thing up....now I don't use talcum powder as often and I try to make sure I use a pretty fresh razor when shaving as rusty blades or older razors blades can cause the issue to occur. It's not an uncommon problem and there is certainly no shame in visiting your GP for anything like this, we live in a brave new world as shaving your pubes off isn't exactly a taboo anymore but it can be embarrassing....just remember that your GP has always seen worse...guaranteed! Hope this helps!

Experiencing this same problem for a month...I shaved which resulted in razor burn. I've had jock itch on and off all year so I assume the razor burn allowed the yeast to thrive again...I've had success reducing the itching, burning, cracking, peeling, open sores, and bumps by using these inexpensive products found at your local store or pharmacy: Witch hazel, tea tree oil, salicylic acid, Neosporin, and a product sold in the States called Blue star ointment. Use the first 3 after a shower and towel off to reduce any itching, remove dead skin and disinfect sores if present. Apply Neosporin after the skin has absorbed those to speed the healing of sores and prevent bacteria from thriving on the raw skin. Try not to scratch , sleep without underpants to keep your scrotum dry for a week or 2 and when your sores have healed apply Blue star ointment to stop the yeast infection. This product has a temporary burn but it works fast. Reapply for about a week and you should be cured...

I get this about once a month. Before it peals it itches very bad for about a day then the next morning flakey skin sometimes bleeding in very small amounts I just assume it's because of my psoriasis. I would recommend washing gently everyday. I know this sounds girly but I use a stubby seems to work and really cleans. Of course it could just be from sweating and not working right. I don't think it's an STD

Hi, I have exactly the same situation, and it has been going on almost everyday for more than three years now since we moved to a new house. I assumed it was related to the water I am using when taking a bath. Anyway, what's worse is that I usually have bleeding through the wounds caused by this flaking.

Hi I got the same thing about 15 years ago after a trip to West Palm...My nut sack dried up and peeled over and over.... Finally I went to a Derm Doctor and he treated it. 1.He gave me a shot of Kenai to relieve the itching...It takes about 7 days to take effect. 2.He had me use Vernon Oatmeal Bath and just rub it in your nut sack while showering....Rinse well and pat dry.... 3.He prescribed me Triminaclone with Nystanton to apply to the affected area...Every 8 hours till it goes away.... I drive a Semi truck so my nut sack sweats then dries...I have flare ups about once a year. And this treatment works for me...Hope this help you guys out... Don't be afraid or embarrassed to see the Doc....its better than suffering. ...Ian

Been an EMT for 15 years and have never seen or even heard of this!

I've had this for about a month. 41 years old. It was almost gone, then I used the hottub and was in longer than I should have been. Next thing, the flare up was back.

Saturday night was terrible sleeping as it was itching like no tomorrow. Took a warm shower the next day, and hesitantly shaved that area. The razor took off all of the dead skin, after drying it off applied hydrocortizone cream, was ok all day today.

Today I bought aloe vera cream at the drug store, applied it once an hour, starting to feel a lot better. Looks better, no more flaking skin and the redness is gone. Hoping that this works.

Well, 24 hrs later, the aloe vera cream works well, skin is much better. Applied the aloe vera cream hourly last night, then before bed. This morning there was no flaking or itchiness. Applied more before work. Went home at lunch, things are back to normal.
