Hi,
My toddler just turn 2 and although she has good hand movements ( she can hold a pencil and draw lines and circles and turn doorknobs), her little finger looks a little strange. Most of the time when she has her hands open her little finger is left behind, and it looks weaker than the others. I did some test like put ice in it and she can feel it, and also if I stimulate it she can move her finger.
Should I be concern? Should I consult an specialist? if yes Which one? thanks

I think that sounds perfectly normal. The pinky is a weaker finger than most so I imagine that it can be a little weaker than most without being a big issue. I think it would be more a cause for concern if she couldn't hold a pencil or turn doorknobs or something like that, but you mentioned that she can do all that. I think you should see a specialist if it affects her ability to do things, but other than that, I think that it sounds okay. If you still are concerned about it, see a pediatrician about it. There wouldn't really be a need to see a specialist about this. Let us know how the visit goes if you do!
Hi, what about her small finger on other hand?
If the other finger is more active than something might be wrong with child. The best thing for you is to go and get it checked up. That does not have to be en emergency check, but regular doctor visit.
Hope that everything will be ok and that you kid will be fine.
