Hello,
I have undergone at least five polypectomies in the 1990s.. almost every 2 1/2 years where the polyps would return and block both nostrils and I could not breath from my nose.. and that was my only option because I did not want to stay on prednisone (bad side effects). The last operation I had was in 2000 since then my ENT doctor recommend I stay on Singular (which an Asthma medication) and he said that medication will control the polyps from returning for a while.. Now in 2012 I have been suffering from the comeback of those polyps.. actually they have been back for almost 2 years.. but they were not blocking my breathing completely, it's getting there though..  I visited my ENT doctor recently and he put me on prednisone (30 mg) and Avelox antibiotic and he said after a couple of weeks will check and do a CT scan to consider surgery again.  I still remember the pain I went through after all those surgeries but to be able to breath freely again will be a blessing.  Not sure if my body will tolerate another operation (and its side effects) of the sort one more time.  My doctor in the mean time also recommended Flovent (asthma medication) to be used as a nasal spray.. with the use of a baby bottle nipple on the cover as a sprayer.. Anybody used that Flovent with any success?  I would appreciate your feed back and views.
Thank you.
Early Bird.
