I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis - something that scares me enormously and I know it can give me a great many problems with broken bones and inability to move around freely as the condition progresses. Please tell me if there are any naturopathic options to treat osteoporosis? It seems to make a lot more sense to me?
I did hear that many osteoporosis patients try and claim to benefit from acupuncture and perhaps you could look into that? Personally, I don't see how something involving puncturing needles into the skin can help your bone density increase, which is what is necessary for people with osteoporosis. But I guess trying won't hurt you. (Though I am not absolutely sure about that one :-)).
Thank you for your reply. Would acupuncture be considered to be a naturopathic method then? I thought that naturopathy was treatment with herbs and different natural elements, like metal and similar. This is really what I wanted answers about. If there is anyone who has tried this for osteoporosis, please do contribute! Thank you in advance!
