I am suffering from nausea, dizziness, right abdominal pain radiating right through to my back, I have a large swollen lump on my right rib cage and i have black stool.
If it helps go to your doctor and have them test you for liver kidney and gallbladder inflammation It is possibly and most likely your gallbladder or gall stones.
Thats what is wrong with me, I hope this helps....

ok I really don't know much but it could be something so basic as a lack of fibre in the diet, over christmas perhaps your fibre intake was lower
It could be an early sign of chronic hepatitis, bile may not be uptaking the fat in your diet resulting in the tarry stool.
It is probably an ulcer of the GIT causing bleeding a NSAID, I don't think it could mean your stomach is under threat of a peptic ulcer, and its failing to produce enough mucus to cancel out its own acid that is now burning thriugh it wall.
What your food intake limit it for the next few days i would say
good luck.
If i were you i wouldn't listen to someone who mispells a simple word such as 'fiber'. And if it was an ulcer causing bleeding, wouldn't there be traces of blood in her stool?
Go to your doctor, and tell him ALL of your symptoms, even ones you don't think are that important. Listen to what he has to say first, and follow his directions. If these symptons continue on for 2 weeks (after your doctors estimated time of you being healthy again) consoult your doctor again and tell him your symptoms are still that same, and that you want an answer other than the one he already gave you. If your symptoms still persist, after your doctor gives you his second answer, go to the E.R. or consult another physician.
Hope I helped a little bit.
Another case of an American thinking their type of English is the only way. Don't be so bigoted, in countries that speak English, that aren't America, we use British English. That means in places like, say, Britain and Australia and new Zealand and Hong Kong and you get the point- pretty much anywhere not "american", we spell 'fiber' the correct British English way- 'fibre'. We also spell metre that way. oooooooo controversy

Hi Pokethebadger,
I want to know what the doctor diagnozed atlast, because I am also having heartburn, nausea and stool coated with black color. It will be helpful to me, if you tell me what is the cause for all those symptoms.

I've been experiencing those symptoms for at least 2 years as well, and I have seen several doctors, but refuse to get my ass probed (I stand by my reasons). Besides that all my levels are said to be normal and I have taken 4 stool samples as recommended by my doc. I am now prescribed omeprazole which is an acid reducer that helps with heartburn as well. I do think the pills help significantly, although my stool changes colors often. Recently my stools are very foul smelling and dark, dark brown, if not black. I have vomited twice in the last 12 hours. I am not sure if I should continue with my regular diet that I take on everyday, I lift weights ( half as often as I used to due to illness ), but am still eager to gain weight. I take flax seed capsules everyday as well to help with stomach pain. I also vomited within 10 min after my bowel movements which is usually when I vomit. I do have blood on the toilet paper when I wipe but I'm almost 100% its from my hemorrhoids, I've had them since a small child. I just turned 17 last month, and am wondering if you think I should continue consuming normally and working out or not. I eat quite a bit though, probably 4000 - 5000 calories a day to maintain weight.

There is a private documentary being released secretly for small public viewings (we had a viewing with my food co-op in our local town theater) that explains the rampant gastrointestinal issues people are having. The problem is CORN. 90% of our country's corn supply is genetically modified in such a way where the chemicals that kill bugs are genetically spliced into corn seed DNA. The chemicals are designed to "pop open and explode" the bugs' stomach lining. Stop eating corn. This includes anything made with corn oil or canola oil. If you are able to get your hands or eyes on the documentary called "Genetic Roulette," you will learn all about this corn problem.

Thank you thank you thank you miss Erin! I didn't even watch the movie but I cut corn and canola oil foods out of my diet completely and after 1 week my symptoms DISAPPEARED and it has been almost 2 MONTHS and I feel back to normal! It was hard cutting out all corn foods though. EVERYTHING seems to have canola/corn/soybean oil in the ingredients and I was told soybean oil was also genetically modified to explode bugs' stomachs. I can't have tortillas, chips, most bread even. I made friends with my local health food store where I can get non gmo bread/tortillas/chips/etc. It has been an adjustment but oh so worth it!

Your doctors seem like they missed the obvious. How many NSAID's (apririn, ibuprofin, etc - all over the counter) were you taking? I am hoping two things, 1) I'm right, and they caught it. 2) I'm right and you won't reply because they didn't catch it and you bled to death..
