My chiropractor recently discovered that i have arthritis in my neck. I started seeing him for shoulder pain and he requested x-rays to find out what was going on after 3 treatments with no relief. He discovered a very bright spot in the shoulder joint and wasn't sure what it was....but it was very obvious I have what he called reverse curvature in my neck, causing the arthritis. I am 30 and have had symptoms of arthritis for at least 12 years. Now that he knows how long these symptoms have persisted he wants me to see a neurologist. If anyone else had had similar problems, let me know your thoughts please. I'm still on the fence....don't know if I need a neurologist or another specialist. Help???

Just out of curiosity, what would it hurt to visit a neurologist and see what s/he says about the arthritis? I mean I am sure that it would cost you a bit of money to visit, but it might give you some insight into your issue and you could even figure out a course of treatment or something. Or you might decide not to go with what the neurologist says. I say go for it.
