I guess it all depends on your will and motivation. I have been going to gym for almost two years now and I must say that I love the progress I have made. Even though there are several things I need to do more, need to build up my back and legs more, I am satisfied with my body. I guess that is the main problem. Three times a week routine is getting more and more harder for me to maintain. How to motivate myself?
Why not taking a break? You said yourself that you are more or less satisfied with the way you look. So why not treat yourself with a rest from all those hard workout. Perhaps some different physical activity would do you good for a while, soccer matches with your friends once a week, swimming, running. There are numerous activities that you could engage without fear of getting tired. I am sure that after a while you will want to go to gym again and start weighting lifts again.
