I have had unprotected sex and am trying for a baby. The first day of my last period was March 8. I went to the health department about a week ago and she told me I am having all the symptoms of pregnancy but my test were negative. I woke up one morning and noticed brown discharge in my panties, but it hasnt done anything since. I dont have insurance to go to the doctor or money to pay for the doctor visit. I am supposed to go back to the Health Department in 3 days, but is this brown discharge normal and if I am, why wouldnt my test be positive?

Sometimes the test that you take can be too early, so that is why your pregnancy test may have come up negative. Having brown discharge can be related to implantation spotting so it is possible that you are pregnant but you typically have to wait up to a week or even two before you can confirm being pregnant. Does that make sense?
