You do have to sign that waiver, but i was told, by a lawyer and on the web, thier is a around that. They play on our ignorance and leave you hi and dry. Its b/s, not fair. Anyone who sues needs to win if they have thie, even if but for a small amount. all you can do, is open ur own buisness, and make money on ur own. people look at you in job interviews, and stare at ur limp. Its unfair. I just emiled my lawyer. told him, were in bed till the end. He went to Northwestern, and Boston College, use it! i have video sinece the day I got out, doctumented all our sessions, word for word, and even made a video of me walkin a few times. Talked about him givining me 7 pain killers, and raised my heart rate to 163, the coulnd even touch me in therapy. Now my life is ruined, and hes on to another person. too many Docs gettin away with this.

I had a total left hip replacement in Sept 2013. During op. my sciatic nerve was damaged which has left me wearing a leg brace and I am in a lot of pain. I have to see consultant reg. nerve ending tests. Just want to know what this entails and would be so grateful if someone could let me know..

The nerve test consists of using of using pointed electrodes to scratch the shin bone & stick on electrodes on the foot to record nerve reactions onto a mini computer . My wife had this check performed twice . The consultant said the nerve should renew itself within 1 1/2 years, after 5years it hasn't . You must keep trying to exercise tour toes & ankle . The leg brace is ok to start with . She hasn't used it for a long time . She now relies on a 4 wheel rolator walking aid , for balance & safety . Good luck , if we can help get in touch again .

Are you doing any better? My fiancé was in a car accident over a year ago and shattered his pelvis and acetabulum. 4 surgeries later he still is not walking. Severe foot drop and pain pain pain. He was an outdoor man and realizes that he may never get to do the activities he once did. His mental state is going also. Please tell me there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks
Rebecca

I don't really have positives to say but wanted to tell you that I also have been watching my fiance go through pain with his hip surgeries.
He was in a car accident 11-8-12 and has had 4 surgeries since to repair the shattered pelvis and acetabulum. 3 hip replacements so far. Hasn't walked since accident. I know what its like to see the one we love in pain. Its hard for me lately cause I miss my man that I loved and lived with for so long and feel like I'm living with a stranger because of his mood swings and crankiness. Some days I feel only like a caretaker and not a spouse. Am I the only one that feels like this? Has your partner gotten any better? I hope so. Please if you have any advice for me!!

Thanks
Rebecca

I had a total hip replacement 7 months ago.  Still have numbness in my leg & foot. Still have pretty good movement.  Not sure my dr. told me about the possible numbness, but it was minimized if he did. From reading on here, I guess mine could be a lot worse.  Not sure had I known, if I would have had surgery, although I was in a lot of pain.  Wish I had got on-line before.  I do get depressed sometimes.  And it is hard to explain to people that if it is numb it can still hurt.  They don't understand that

I had double HRS replacement surgery in July of this year and my left leg has been numb from the knee down since the day after. My knee feels like it has a weight in it. Doctor did some test to include muscle and nerve testing which showed everything normal. I'm at a lost because you tell them your numb and in tons of pain and they tell you your crazy! My leg was fine before surgery!
