i am an iv drug user currently in recovery and would like to ask a few questions that i have been thinking about.

what is the odds of me never using again?
I don’t think you can’t get a straight answer to this….it is entirely up to you. I think that the recovery is possible.

Find something apart from drugs that you can commit to, a job, school, a girlfriend... Realize you have a problem, make a strategy and resist the urge to take the drug. Forget about the old friends who also take drugs, socialize with those who don’t. Surround yourself with supportive people, like your family and stuff.

I was reading an article about addiction and I remember what it wrote there. The best way to recover is by spending time with people who have recovered and who have been through the whole thing.
Are you a part of a program or are you trying to get off on your own?

I think you should educate yourself about the whole procedure…..what happens with the body, what happens with the brain….what has changed…what are possible withdrawal side effects and how to deal with them, etc

You need to be aware of the possible depression as a withdrawal side effect. How long have you been taking drugs?

Do you think you are on a good way without drugs now?
