It started almost 2 years ago. I was on Depo prov-era at the time. I was bleeding after intercourse. Not because it was intense or to big, or to rough. More recently like the last 7 months or so it had gotten to the point I was bleeding after sex all the time. I'm not one that can climax easily. So my boyfriend and I have foreplay and also I have opt to use vibrators more often to help the stimulation. External use on the clitoris. I have switched birth controls. I have had cervical polyps removed. I have been on my new birth control Lo eferin Fe for almost 2 months now and I have noticed bleeding here and there, when I'm not suppose to be on my period. During sex I was playing with the vibrator on the outside of the clitoris and I was climaxing, after we were done. My boyfriend and I both noticed bleeding. Could this be because of the vibrator or something else. I can't handle bleeding when I am not suppose to. Can anyone help me. please.

Hi,

That sounds like a multifaceted issue to me.

Regarding masturbation, constant use of vibrators can sometimes mess with pleasure, as in, it can become hard to climax without one and even with one because the whole clitoral area becomes kind of numbed. If you are wondering how to climax without a vibrator, I would give the vibrator a long break and just fantasize and learn to use your fingers again during masturbation. During sex with your boyfriend, try cunnilingus and make it really relaxed and slow.

The bleeding between periods is definitely unlikely to be connected to your use of a vibrator if you are not inserting it but only using it for clitoral stimulation, so please see a doctor about that.
