no fetal heartbeat, mistake?

I read your post about your early pregnancy and the doctor wanting to immediately do a d&c. I am going through the exact same thing! Please tell me what happened. Was it just too early? This waiting is the hardest thing I have ever done. How are you doing?

I was diagnosised with sch too they put me on progesteron and at 7w 4d there was a strong heartbeat I was scheduled for another us in 2 weeks went Fri the baby was alot bigger but the us tech said there was no heartbeat but I have had all day sickness I still feel very pregnant and I'm supposed to schedule a d&c for this week I asked why I still feel pregnant he said my body doesn't know I miscarried Iam going to have my regular Dr check before I do anything I have no bleeding or cramping so I will find out this week

Sry ladies I def understand the frustration and worry of no heartbeat and yet being optimistic even though I'm told fetus has passed. At 6wk 1 day there was a heartbeat. Now at 9 weeks baby measuring 6wk 6days and no heartbeat seen. I am bleeding some but I was also diagnosed with a chorionic hematoma so bleeding is to be expected. I'm told my body is miscarrying yet I'm still sitting here hopping its all a mistake. I suppose its all in gods hands and as much as I don't want to miscarry if I do I can imagine it was an unhealthy pregnancy. I have a beautiful 10 mo old at home so I'm trying to focus on that. My next appt is in 5 days so ill try to post my outcome. Best of luck to the rest of you. Xo

Hi I am currently experiencing this at the moment .. On dec 30th baby had a heart beat and jan 16th the baby had no heart brat. I am not bleeding or spotting I haven't got any cramps and I still have really sore breasts! I am still deciding on whether to let my body deal with it naturally or if I should have assistance ..  I wish someone can relate to my story and help me to find peace. So I went to my supposed to be 7 weeks 5days check and found out that I was measuring 6w1d with heartbeat not only one but two heartbeats. So I was very happy, I went in for my next scan which would have me at 9w only to find that there is no heartbeat and an empty gestational sac. I cried so much because I was really looking forward to having twins. My doc was so insensitive its like they were happy they immediately suggested D&C and I said no I wanted a second scan. The ultrasound tech was the one that told me she saw nothing my doc didnt even try to see it herself she just agreed with the tech and based off my medical experience a tech should not tell you your results only a medical doc is license to do that. The thing that is puzzling is that I am not cramping, bleeding or any of the signs and symptoms of m/c. I went to another doc and they told me they only saw one empty sac and who told me I was having twins because it didnt seems as if I was. I did blod work and my HCG level dropped from 59000 to 53000 in just two days. I also have a tilted uterus and PCOS. I have a beautiful 5 year old and no complications with that pregnancy. Eventhough every pregnancy is different. Its so much thing running through my head. I even had an UTI at 5w and they prescribe me bactrim and I called the doc office to ask if they are sure this was ok to take while pregnant and they said yes then when i changed doc they told me to get off of it immediately. I know that everyone is different my symptoms may not be yours but it would be good to know that someone else went through this and had a great outcome. PLEASE ANY ADVICE IS GOOD AT THIS POINT....

You can actually have strong pregnancy symptoms even 3 weeks after the miscarriage without any sign of miscarrying.

Hi, i am also 9 weeks pregnant and had trans vaginal ultrasound for 2 times but still no heartbeat but im not bleeding... my doctor gave me an option to wait for 5 days or undergo D&C .. i chose to wait for 5 days because i am still hoping that the baby is alive...but my doc said that after 5 days that the baby is still no heartbeat i should undergo D&C... i am planning to have a second opinion to another doctor just to be sure that there's no mistake. I suggest you do the same for your peace of mind and no doubts and regrets at all..

Hey I know your post is from a year ago, and I'm terribly sorry if I'd brought up some headache, but that's exactly what I'm facing right now and was curious of the outcome? Your time is greatly appreciated as I'm a little lady since they only food a trans abdominal ultrasound not a trans vaginal.

What! They only give the report to the doctor. The doc gives the bad news. Where's your job at. I wanna gotl there. I'm sick of waiting for results

i am 12 weeks pregannat went to the doctor today and they did an ultrasound they said they could see the fetus but couldnt find the heartbeat does this mean something is wrong i have no bleeding and no cramping i feel fine im eatin good takin my prenatals what could be wrong please help

Amen and amen! Going through the same thing! I'm 11weeka but I measured 9 weeks with no heartbeat! Dr said do the D&C but I just can't imagine doing it! I'm just going to wait and trust that my body will do what it suppose to do. I'll be going for another ultrasound in 2 weeks
