Concussions and TBI can affect the endocrine and pituitary systems. This has not been studied as much as it should be. However, if one sustains a concussion and then develops an issue such as hypothyroidism, there is much information available. Hypothyroidism is one potential issue following a concussion. One of the main symptoms of hypothyroidism is a heavier, longer period. Not to mention a bruise or beat up ovaries can function improperly of affected in an accident. There is little known about this and should be studied more. My advice follow up with a doctor get blood wo6and an ultrasound done if everything looks fine it could be bruised or damaged which may never be seen unless you have surgery and even if that were the case they wou6just take it out or it could be head trauma related either way you will be ok.The same thing is happening to
