i an now 17 years old. ever since i first got my period, it was never normal. each year it would come less and less, until now it doesn't come at all. it hasn't come at all for about 2 years, and i get constant vaginal discharge (clear, sometimes milky color, and it's sometimes slimy other time water ) with spootings of blood but not always (rarely). sometime i think my peroid is coming but it doesn't . although i still get mild and short lasting cramps. (sometimes though) . i also am not sexually active, and i have never been. i haven't ever had a bf, so i'm not pregnant or have an sdt. i am worried though, because my period never comes. i am also very stressed with school and sometimes don't sleep properly. i know i have to go to a gyno, but i haven;t even told my mom about this. all i really need is you opinion of what is wrong with me. you can ask me any questions if oyu want, i just really want to understand this.
First up, are you underweight? People who are underweight can stop having periods as their body begins to preserve itself by not having periods.

If this isn't the case, then it could be stress. Stress can play with your hormones and cause irregular periods.

Birth control can also cause periods to be irregular.

Some menstral cycles are simply longer than others.

The best thing to do would be to go talk to a doctor about it, they can help you work out why (often without an internal exam) and help you fix the problem.

Try not to worry, but go see a doctor for a private chat.

Good luck. :-)
