Normal after miscarriage for abdominal/pelvicish pain?

It has been 3 months since my miscarriage and I still get strange crampings that I had never had before being pregnant. The pain comes every few days, not only during my period. It is not severe, but it can last for the whole day sometimes. I have been worried that something didn't heal properly. The doctor said that everything looks normal and that the pain may have psychological reasons, but I am worried that it is not the case. I would like to conceive again, but I am afraid that there might be something wrong with me. It is the same cramping that I had some days before the miscarriage occured. Has anyone experienced something like this?

Hi Niki, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, so I feel for you babe. I miscarried back in Sept of 2011 @ around 10wks. I passed everything naturally and a D&C wasn't required or performed. Initially right after the miscarriage I bled for a while, about 10 days or so, passing tissue, etc. Then I seemed to stop bleeding, everything felt 'normal' again & I thought it was all over & done with...but within a month or so of stopping bleeding, I started again & haven't stopped completely since then. It's not heavy bleeding & I don't have to put a tampon in, it's more like leaking I suppose. I don't bleed/spot every single day, but most days & some weeks are worse than others, so I haven't a clue what's going on?? I went to the Doctor yesterday, she did a blood test, pap smear & referred me to get an ultrasound, so hopefully by the end of next week I'll have a better idea of what's going on with me. I really don't think bleeding/spotting/leaking or whatever you want to call it, is normal, espeically when it's been happening for over 4months since my miscarriage. I've also started to develop stomach cramps, similar to period pains over the last couple of days as well. I'll let you know my outcome. Hugs to us all xx

I am on the same boat as you too.  I had miscarriage about 4 wks ago.  I was 4-6 wks pregnant.  I had ultrasound last wk and there was nothing left.  My HCG was 0 about two wks ago.  I stopped bleeding a week later the miscarriage and still experience the pain in my pevic, abdominal including around my belly button.  It was better last wk but the pain came back this wk.   The doctor din't know what's wrong with my body.  The blood tests were all okay.  I don't know what other type/kind doctor/specialist I should go to diagnose the pain in pelvic beside the OB GYN.  I am scared.  Please help

Same with me. Ultrasound and swaps are clear. They suggested ovarian cyst but could only spot one small one and didn't make sense for me as the pain was all through my cycle. Did you get an answer?

Pelvic pain from a miscarriage, can also mean you have a PFD (pelvic floor dysfunction). You should google Beyond Basics Physical Therapy, they specialize in PFD. GREAT set of women!

I had it 2 weeks ago and I was 12 weeks and 2 days have had a scan n they said everything has gone but am still in a lot of pain in this time I stoppedd bleeding for 1 day then it started again

Hi im 19 yrs old and it's been a month after my miscarriage. I just experienced severe pain on my lower abdomen in my pelvic area today an it only last for about 5-10 mins. I dont know the reason why this happened and im so worried about it. :( Hope somene can answer my question. Thank you.

hello to every one ,,,i am 6 weeks now and i think i am having a miscarrage i went to the emergency room yestardy and they said i was probably having m/c ,,last nigth i had heavy bleadding and strong cramps ,,today ocassionaly cramps and not to much bleadding ,,,but i ahve a weird pain arround my belly bottom ,,,,my hormons # drop fron 2028 to 1609 in one day ,,so dont know

 

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, bu it sounds like a miscarriag is imminent.  My dr gave me misoprostol and lortab to take to induce my miscarriage (even though your body seems to be starting up th process, I can be a long process if done naturally).  I would call my dr first thing in the morning so they can do an ultrasound and see what is left to pass and make sure all is okay. This the pain around your bell button feels like heavy pressure, it is probably your body trying to contract and push out the tissue.  If that isn't the pain, definitely tell your dr.  Good luck girl- it's not a road an of us expected for ourselves, but that's life.  I'll say a prayer for you tonight;)

I had my 2nd miscarriage last night and my last D&C I hemorrhaged 2 weeks later. I haven't gone for one this time yet and of course the pain is terrible.Wondering What I i can do about it considering I have to go back to work in the morning... Good Luck Girls !

I'm very sad to say I MC on X-mas 2012, I was 10 wks. This is my second MC, last one was 20 yrs ago. This one was very different I was walking and just uncontrollably stopped and bent over. It felt like I just pee my pants, but it was blood and a sack was hanging out. I bleed for couple of days only not heavy. But when I went to have a bowel movement would bleed and extreme pain. That happened couple times, but the first time a clump size of pack of gum came out. I haven't had a period yet. Also I get these extremely painful almost like tearing inside my lower abdomin. My stomach is still hard. I'm out of work with no insurance. I read that early enough it should resolve it's self on its own and I wouldn't need to see doctor. I have 2 grown boys didn't really want to start again especially with my finances but this sure wasn't planned and now my bf and I are getting very scared. Please can someone help! Is something seriously wrong or am I just panicking?

So yesterday im pretty sure i had a miscarriage i was a few days late for my period, then i went to the bathroom and a big thing that looked like a bloodclot about 3 inches long and pretty big came out. I didnt think much of it until i was having severe pains below my rib on my left side. Later in the day another piece i guess youd call it came out with clear pieces. Im concerned because 2 hours later and im still having severe pains. & if i was pregnant why did i have my period during the pregnancy? Someone please give me answers.
