I have been taking zoloft for three months and I have not noticed any improvement in my depression, so I decided to stop taking it. Cold turkey against doctor's advice. Amazingly, when I stopped, my self-esteem went through the roof. For the first time I felt like I'm a valid human being. My self hatred is lifting. BUT, when I stopped, I too got the dizziness that other people have reported here with eye movements. It's not so bad that I am incapacitated, but it is annoying.
I found this forum because I searched google for info about zoloft withdrawal. Now I am worried about what I am reading here because I assumed that the dizziness would go away. I am also concerned that the good feeling I am having now will also go away.
Not sure if I should go back on zoloft.

1st of all please don't go back on the Zoloft without talking to your doctor. You can't go on and off pills - especially anitdepressents - it is very dangerous. That been said, you were on Zoloft for 3 months, anti depressents can take upto 6 months - in a few cases, to work. So I don't think that you are in any real danger. As your brain chemicals hadn't really had a chance to change that much in that period of time. If you feel great without anti depressents - good for you. They can be very habit forming and sometimes I truly believe over perscribed! So if you are starting to feel "normal" and lets face facts what the heck is normal anyway?!!!! 8-| Then just go with it. The dizziness might be from being off the pills, or it could be other things, lack of sleep, blood pressure etc. There is one thing I have said to people over and over again, do not get caught up in self diagnosis and looking up on sites where EVERYONE of them is talking about their certain illnesses, because if you are already asking questions and then someone says "Ok if you hiccup after swollowing water quickly you COULD have ........ disease!!!" then you will convince yourself you have that dsease, when you just have the hiccups! Understand?!! XD So I wish you CONTINUED good mental clarity and health. And don't be a pharmacist with yourself OK? Good luck
