to all you girls out there who are talking about decreased appetite, NuvaRing does cause some nausea...so maybe that is why you guys are not wanting to eat any food. It basically makes you just feel blah about eating in general.

Hormonal birth control may effect your mood; it doesn't matter if it's oral, patch ,or ring. Have you considered a hormone free IUD? Soy affects estrogen levels, so you may want to cut back your soy intake if you are on a hormonal birth control method. If you have high anxiety, watch out for allergens, because anaphylaxis (even if mild) can trigger anxiety. Hope that helps!

I've been on nuvaring for 1 year now and went from weighing 169 to 208 pds withing a few mths. My boobs went from a C to a Double D, I experience racing heart beat and lots of back pain. I just stopped using it as of 8/21/2012.
Yes! It has been a week and yesterday I have experienced a lot of nausea and loss of appetite. Also I have lost two pounds I think its because of my loss of appetite
I've tried the 7/7/7 pills as well. I noticed weight gain but not really significant. I'm now on nuva and I've seen breast go from D to DD (let's hope thats that). Periods are longer and heavier but I think that can be due to the weight loss I've experienced since starting nuva 2 months ago, about 7lbs. Personally, even 1lb weught loss causes me to have heavier/longer or even multiple 'periods'. I've tried everything for BC, I'm really satisfied with nuva. Good luck everyone!
I started using the nuvaring about 15 months ago n the past 3 months I gained 30 lbs breast went from b to double d n now need to buy bigger bras I have no achn n dnt like to eat alot mayb once or twice a day but I love it sometime its side effects like nausea but I think that's normal with any birth control I weighed like 119 now I'm 147 but it looks good
I have been using the nuvaring for around 4 months, and before I was using the pill. The pill was terrible for me - Horomones all over the place... I was basically an emotional marshmellow. I decided I wouldnt use it anymore, and by incident, my mother had been overseas and had heard that many girls are using the ring. She thought of me and brought me back the nuvaring (sold everywhere in the world) and I could not be happier! I went from weighing around 73Kg (always struggling with my weight!) to now 66kg and I feel so good! I feel like myself completely and the thing is, I always ate healthy although I also like my sweets.. basically I didnt really change much and I look great!! I am so happy with how easy the ring is - and there are many applications for your phone where you can put the date you insert it so you know exactly when to take it out and also make a pause. Reminders come to my phone and e-mail.

I put Nuvaring in 3 weeks ago & 5 days ago I took it out so that i could get my period (&did) but within this 5 days i have lost 6 pounds. I am 19 years old & weighed 112 but weigh 106 as of today. I am not complaining about this I am just simply wondering if it is normal. It is not that I feel disgustingly full, I just don't have any interest in food & when i do try to eat it is almost as if i get sick of eating, if that makes any sense? This behavior is very unlike me, before the ring i had a perfectly normal if not high appetite so i know this is from the Nuvaring
The nuVa ring has been great for my moods and weight loss ! 18 pounds in 6 months. I went off the nuva ring a month and a half ago and have gained 10 pounds. The reason I did go off as it fell out 3 times in a month so just went off. But after this week of cranky moods and weight gain. Going to pick up my nuva ring today !
I also gained ten pounds and my boobs went from a C to a D!!
I have been on the nuva ring for about 6 months.. I have gone from 125 to 112..Im not happy about the weight loss.. In the past I have been on the pill and get the same result.. While on the depo I have been able to maintain a normal weight. So am debating on going back on the depo..
I don't recommend the mirena at all! I just got mine taken out. I gained almost 50 pounds, I was moody and irritable, NO sex drive whatsoever. I had crazy anxiety, still had periods although they were very regular, bad cramping, and was always super crazy tired. I got it taken oUT a week ago and have lost 10 pounds, my mood is 100% better and my sex drive is finally back!
They also say an iud lowers your chances of having children.
The same happened to me! Went from a B to C and gained 10 pounds in about a week! Ive changed my diet and run daily and i CANNOT shed the added weight. If i really didn't want a child I would've boycotted this awful birth control months ago. Have you lost any of the added weight? If so, what's your secret?!
