I’m not the original poster but I had a similar experience with similar symptoms.
My doctor told me I had interstitial cystitis and he believes that I have scarring and inflammation of the bladder/urethra as a result of a string of UTIs. I believe the problem began with the first UTI I ever got, which I waited several days to go to the doctor for. I took a couple medications before being prescribed Uribel, which worked very well for me. I also use a heating pad when I have urethra pain, and that helps quite a bit. I used to get UTI symptoms frequently, and sometimes the culture would come back negative but antibiotics still helped to resolve the issue.
Now, 2 years later, most of the problem seems to have resolved itself. There isn’t really a “cure” for the condition I had/have, but time and care has really helped so that I hardly ever have to think about it anymore. These days I am very careful about drinking enough fluids, peeing before and after sex and showering. I haven’t had a UTI or UTI symptoms in nearly a year.
Please, go see a doctor as soon as you can- if you do have a UTI or something similar right now, it’s critical to seek treatment immediately. It could turn into a serious kidney infection if left untreated. I believe that the intense pain I went through within the last 2 years could have been avoided or mitigated if I had seen a doctor right away.
Sorry I don’t have a clearer answer for you. This type of pain can be difficult to diagnose as there are so many possible causes for it.
Good luck to you!

Even I am facing this problem. My urethra seems to be very sensitive to touch. I was thinking it is normal behaviour but worried about having sex when it is very sensitive. Getting married in few months and very much worried now as this could ruin my marital relationship. Is there something we can do to get rid of this pain? Any treatment available for this? Should we go to Urologist or Sex Doctors for this? Pls guide
I'm having problems urinating. There is pressure, pain, and my urethra is swollen. Having problems with bowel movements also. This started after I had anal sex. What to do?
