One month ago, #32 was extracted. It was lying horizontally and impacted with a cyst attached. All healing has progressed until today, one month later, the tendon or muscle in my cheek that goes from #31 molar upward has a very sore spot. I feel it with different mouth movements. Is this part of the nerve healing process or possibly healing at the injection site or is something wrong. This is a holiday weekend and I hate to be a big baby and put a call into my oral surgeon. Please someone help. Thank You

Hallo,

The thing is that you might take some over the counter pain killers for the weekend but I think that your dentist will have to look this one up. Also I was wondering do you think that this might be caused by food. I know that the process of healing is taking long time and maybe you have eaten something that wasn’t very good for your tooth.  What kind of different mouth movements have you been having? Can you explain this little bit more? Is there a chance that this was all caused during the sleep that you injured your self without even knowing it? I hope this helped you in any way.

Regards,

Karen
